The Buckeyes will more than likely finish in the 5th playoff spot. The only remote chance of them finishing 6th is a 2-loss Stanford but not likely. The Rose has already stated that they'll take the highest rated BIG team not in the playoffs which appears to be OSU.

The winner of Iowa/MSU gets in the playoff. Ohio State will then be taken by the Rose Bowl, because they will be ranked higher than the loser of Iowa/MSU. My bet is on the loser of Iowa/MSU vs ND in the Fiesta Bowl.
Michigan won't work. They have too many losses to get a top ten team like ND in a bowl. Get better little skunks and you might get to play ND in a future bowl.

By far my favorite Irish season under Brian Kelly. Even more so then the '12 team. This team was exciting! I loved every minute of the year. Except the injuries.

ND will heal a lot of injuries and FSU is fully loaded and rearing to go!!!

My understanding is peach or fiesta given our ties. The rose has already confirmed it will follow protocol and take the highest ranked b1g team. If Iowa loses badly I suspect they will drop below osu, and frankly osu is probably more attractive to the Rose and they get first pick. If osu to the Rose then we get Iowa. I'd love this matchup for us.

I think you've nailed it - I agree 100%. I see an OSU-Stanford match up in the Rose and Iowa/MSU loser/N.D. in either the Fiesta or Peach. Both would be great games. Now all of this is assuming that Alabama. Clemson, and Stanford take care of business - as expected - and win this coming weekend. A shocking loss or two, especially by Clemson or Bama, and forget everything I just wrote.

My guess is Iowa loses to MSU leaving a great match up between Iowa and The Irish in the Fiesta Bowl.

That is one pi$$ed off football team (ask Michigan) I really believe that we can mark up a win for the BIG conference in their game.

Given that we stayed in the Top 10, it is 95% either Fiesta or Peach for us.
The Committee will do rematches in the playoff bowls, but they will avoid rematches in the other games, if at all possible. So it's not likely that we play Clemson or Temple, even if they are in Top 6 bowls.If Clemson lost to UNC. Do anyone would like to watch ND - Clemson in the Bowl game?
Would absolutely love ND-OSU in the Fiesta. Would be like having a third playoff game on Mew Years Day!!!
Its complicated, but ND is guaranteed 2.34 $ Mil, from CFP,
but does say how much from the bowl they are in.

Weis recruited good lkayers, but a terrible administrator. His sole focus was the offense and to be clear the offensive backfield. Coach Willingham was not a good recruiter but a better administrator. Neither in coach Kellys class
And, wouldn't make sense to sked up a rematch with either team that wins the conference.
