Against Robert Morris . ND defense still an issue .Undersized Robert Morris getting most of their points in the paint ND 37 , Robert Morris 25 with a 1:30 left in second half .Guards are not great defenders ,easily being beaten to the basket . This ND team has played great against very good teams like Duke Duke , Florida State, Louisville even in their early season 11 point loss to UConn . But when ND plays teams with less talent , it always seems they have a 10-12 point lead at the half ,and then put on an offensive burst in the last 20 minutes .Careless , all scorers and sometimes forget the defense.

Can't play that way to get to final four.

This year's team has been maddening. Some times they look great. Other times they look kind of sloppy and lackadaisical.

Guess I'm a bit spoiled from the Diggins era teams, that really put away teams of lesser talent.

McGraw said in her presser that rust from being off for so long had a lot to do with bad defense early on. I think they'll be fine come sunday and give purdue the usual beatdown that they were giving them until the series caught canceled by the boilers

Most teams play to the level of their competition to some degree. It's unrealistic to expect ND to play with a lot of intensity against an outwomanned team like Robert Morris. Defense is scheme and intensity, and ND clearly lacked the later, but I don't see this as a red flag going forward. They'll have to bring more intensity and effort on Sunday, and fully expect this. This team was one of the worst McGraw defensive teams in memory during the first half of the season, but improved dramatically over the last half of their ACC schedule. I think they're peaking and playing their best ball both on offense and defense, and should be a fun and exciting tourney for us to watch.
