USC odds

ND is only a 3.5 to 6.5 favorite

USC is always dangerous at home !

Critical game !

It's not going to be an easy game. They have a talented roster, it's a rivalry game, and it's at their place. They may have nothing to play for from a playoff or championship, but they would love nothing more than to spoil ND's playoff aspirations.

Agreed. USC is not significantly better than anyone ND has throttled in the last 6 games. No reason to think their dominance won't continue.
I expect a tough game. They have had a lead in every 4th quarter this season (crazy stat for a 5 loss team). Their biggest margin of defeat is 7 points

They play everyone tough

Brian Kelly managed to beat USC in 12 & 18 to get ND to the playoffs. This year will be no different. A comfortable win this time, as mentioned earlier in thread by 3 or more scores.

I’ll be there! Going with a group of 25+. About half ☘️ and half ✌️. Definitely like the 12:30 kick for us.

I watched USC unconvincingly beat UCLA. Took a late drive. Big red zone troubles. Really poor D. Riley doesn't look confident.

The Trojans have O big play capability. Speed. Maiava is an athletic QB, but seems an inconsistent passer.

I expect ND to comfortably handle USC. Even in an away different TZ rivalry game. Too big a gap.

The Irish seem well capable of routing USC. At worst, USC causes some early trouble, with ND managing to close it out by 10+ points.

I just can't see USC upset ND...although I will take nothing for granted.

USC IMO doesn’t play “…really poor D.” UCLA scored 13 points.

Usc has a solid D

They are 32nd in opp ppg and with their schedule that's pretty impressive

USC defensive ranking is 63. Average defense

ND is 4

LSU is 58.
I don’t read rankings. Rankings IMO are swayed based on who you play. I have watched USC a ton against a good schedule. Describing their defense as really poor is an overstatement. I never said they were elite defensively. Really poor? No. Average? I believe the USC defense is better than average.

They seem to give up enough points. Washington, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota. Didn't look great when I watched...and I try to watch USC and Stanford here out West. Vs UCLA, the score in my view was a bit misleading abut how good both teams are.

We will see. Again, I'd be surprised if it's close. I'll still be wary and saying prayers...don't want to jinx.

What I don’t get is the benching of QB Miller Moss, other than Lincoln Riley needing to blame someone for the 5 losses. Moss is IMO a decent to good CFB QB, better than the guy that replaced him. And certainly a better passer of the football.
