No, more a reason why Helton has to go. SC has as much skill talent as any team that will make the playoffs. It is just an abysmal staff. When overwhelming physical talent is not enough and coaching becomes a factor that is when SC falters.
I am tired of body crabs complaining about kelly has to go BS. He should have been fired last year he was not. So we live with it. If the team does well Kelly stays. if they fall apart he probably gets fired. 8-4 or better kelly stays. just a guess. This team could possibly run the table. 9-3 worse case.
Unless we make a dramatic improvement in one week, the game will not be competitive. ND by 14. Would be more but I think you get u and run the ball to shrink the game time. Even on our homer board many of the predictions are that ND will win. That is unusual.

the Irish owed them an butt whooping from last yr. SC is a good team. BUT not a great team. Darnold is talented, but this yrs team for them is not the same team as they had last yr. where those players who are in the nfl now. made his job alot easier then. I was so mad when the DB's backed off and gave them those easy wide open throws for both of their td's.
their OL and DL are not as good as past teams. I did not expect the irish to blow them out. but I thought the Irish would win a close game with the revenge factor from last yr. where SC did the same thing as the Irish did tonight.
the best thing coach Kelly did was hire the new strength and conditioning coach. the Irish need to be playing the way Stanford has the for the last decade. and that is by playing smash mouth football with the running game. this controls the game and keep the D fresh. and the mobile QB like Wimbush makes this a very hard O to defend. hats off to coach Kelly for giving up control of the O playcalling and being an overseer and let the coordinators call the game. I had no expectation for this yrs team. I thought they were a yr away from doing what they have done so far this season. let's keep this going. Go Irish!!!!!
