How many backups played and what is their projection this year?
How have each of those players developed and used that score as an impetus for improvement in an aspect of their game since then?
What coaching changes have occurred since then? How might that impact the litany of direct and indirect results from that 49-0 game?
How is each team different from the teams in that game?
How is the leadership different from a player perspective?
How is the leadership different from a coach perspective?
What influences outside of the game of football are now influencing members of each program as opposed to then?
What athletes have grown for each team since then in maturity? What athletes have flatlined or regressed a year for both teams?
Nd defense has not given up more than 20 points in any game ! The average is right around 15 points !

What's so hard to understand the team has so many weaknesses that quite obvious even against inferior teams. Kelly's track record and big games is not too impressive. Notre Dame is completely overrated in all facets of the game. All is USC has to do is stack the Box and game is over. Notre Dame's defense has many holes and the athletes on USC will exploit this period at the end of the day it Kelly coached team cannot be a halfway decent team with better athletes. You use history to prove that a 49 to nothing score is not feasible. So your argument is completely flawed. And maybe the score won't be 49 to nothing. But Notre Dame will definitely lose and lose badly and you will be on the bandwagon to have him fired I just have to sit back and wait

ND is most likely going to lose another game, maybe 2, maybe 3, but that isn't the point. After an ND win, can we count on you to stand on this soapbox for the next game?
Considering all factors such as Notre Dame home game, coaching, talent, injury, and conditioning, I have never been less concerned about losing to SC. If SC can beat ND with what is left of that team and it’s dazed and confused coaching staff I just don’t know what to think. At this point a 17-21 point win.
