I would guess ND knows or has a good idea who is going to leave and they won't be announced until after we're done. Same for who we land.

Yeah, Singleton from GTech. That would be great! Get on that for sure. He's a productive starter, and seems pretty talented. I don't know if he would qualify but Kendrick Law from Bama would be an interesting pickup.
Maybe he'll return to LSU, they definitely need another QB. Nuss could conceivably turn pro, and other than that they have a true frosh who was 'reclassified' and was a 16 year old freshman in college. And that's it. He never should have left to begin with. At least not to Ole Miss, he should have gone to TCU or something.
I think that guy is going to be in demand. Maybe we should offer him. Nic Anderson, from Oklahoma, is available as well, he might be a decent target for us.

Well Gunner didn't look all that great in relief. They sort of limped over the finish line, riding their defense again. I could see them going to the portal.
Oh that's right. He was recruiting him to ND. And he took a visit too if I recall. And then, holy shit, BK gets the LSU job and lo and behold he signs with LSU, even though his dad is a former LSU starting QB and he's a pretty much born and bred 'Tiger' who'd probably been to dozens of LSU home games, since his first earliest memories as a child. Still, that's a total scam. I think it's worthy of vacating even more wins off of BK's all-time ND wins total.

It appears as if Max Klare, Purdue Portalee, could be our next starting TE, as he is crystal balled to ND. Even though I figured we were already fairly set at TE. So that's a development.
Very interesting, if true. I did a little research on Klare, and he could be quite a pickup if we land him. He has good size (6'4" and 240 lbs) and is very athletic. Good speed for a TE and is very twitchy. Regarding his athleticism, some think he was good enough to possibly play MLB. Was a high school QB but converted to TE because his team needed help there.
Generally ND has taken portal players who will go into ND's graduate program. Klare is only a redshirt sophomore, so that would be a little different. But he is at Purdue, which has real academic programs, so I assume he would probably be a fit for ND academics-wise. Klare attended St. Xavier HS in Cincinnati, where current ND commit Gordy Sulfsted attended school. So did former ND great Rocky Boiman. Klare orginally committed to Duke, and would have played with Riley Leonard had he gone to Duke.
I guess we wait and see what happens. He entered the portal because Purdue's football program is a dumpster fire (my words, not his).
Then why visit Brian Kelly at ND just a couple weeks prior to Brian Kelly bolting for LSU at all? I mean, you think Brian Kelly was selling him on ND, and then LSU in the span of a couple weeks? I’m not saying you’re wrong, but it was very coincidental in my opinion. Come on Paqui
Good intel on Max. I think he is a great get, an experienced TE for an inexperienced QB will help. Now go get an experienced WR! Eli will be our only proven TE, I like Flanagan but he's green. Good get if true.
I watched a little video of his highlights and he looks great. But I don't remember him from the game at all. One is tempted to think that everyone on Purdue probably sucks, given that had to have been one of the worst seasons from a P5 program in a good while, but they actually have a small handful of coveted portal guys. And in addition to this guy, they have a S named Dillon something or other, who looks like a total badass, and we should probably go after him too. And if we're willing to portal TEs, maybe our strongest position, we should go after DBs as well.
Go get the best players you can and let the chips lay as they fall. There are some good DT out there in the portal 300 plus guys.

Here's Dillon Theinamen. Who looks like a better version of Zbikowski. And is apparently one of the stars of the portal, and one of the best fr/soph DBs in the nation. Easily overlooked I suppose, playing at Purdue. Seems like he'd be a nice enough fit at ND, and he does look like a badass.

Really? You talking about Dillon Theinamen? Not the most musical last name. So he sucks then? Well he's definitely sought after in the portal, considered a top Safety. I'm not sure, but I think he was a frosh A-A type player. He does have an impressive highlight reel with some pretty big hits and spectacular INTs. And just generally looks pretty badass. But Purdue was so bad I'm tempted to doubt that they have any good players at all. Hopefully with the exception of their starting TE who the recruiting gurus seem to think will come to ND.
