Time for a regime change in the ND Athletic Department...

Interesting first post. Why do I suspect Nwilkins83, football1irish, and Brian Davidson are the same person?

No I'm a true die hard Notre Dame fan there are no true Notre Dame fans that can accept 10-3 I expect nothing but excellence and every true fan of the University of Notre Dame can't take the lopsided losses 42-14 to Alabama and 44-28 to Ohio State plus playing like absolute garbage against wake and bc bk and js both need to go

Nah, you're yet another one of the numerous trolls who come to this board, claim to be an ND fan, and make asinine comments. Interesting timing of your first post. We've seen you before. Care to tell us what your previous handles on this board have been?

Wow. Just wow.

I have given Year after Year for Brian Kelly to Win the NC and here 6 years later it's always wait till next year no that mantra I've grown tired of its now or never for both Kelly and Swarbrick if no NC next year they both need to go

Stop the nonsense. You're not an ND fan. We've seen this shtick countless times on this board. If you think you're being funny or clever, you're not. Grow up, act like an adult, and find something else to do with your time.

That's will be my last post on this forum because I love the University Of Notre Dame and I don't want people to think I'm trolling on here i love Notre Dame football more then everything but God himself

Nah, you're the one who needs to go. Get lost, half-wit.

Good riddance. Please get the psychiatric help you need.

Re: Various stud coaches with huge egos who would like to add to their repertoire as the man who rebuilt ND might include:
Pete Carroll highly unlikely
Urban Meyer no way
Nick Saban no way
Jim Harbaugh no way
Chip Kelly possible
Sean Payton possible
Bill Bellichick no way
David Shaw no way

Jack is a Pat Haden.....impeccably dressed, says all the PC things, but an empty suit that makes dumb decisions.

Love how Kelly in year 6 is still making excuses to half time interviewers.

Sucks being a fan in this era of ND......would have been nice to been a fan during the Leahy, and Parseghian era's when we were smart and kicked butt instead of getting constantly outdone by smarter regimes.

Remember what happened to Leahy; he was forced out, followed by 10 years of bad football. Remember what happened to Ara; couldn't take the pressure anymore and retired. Devine couldn't take the pressure either. Then the Faust experiment. Remember what happened to Lou; basically forced out as well. It is easy for Meyer and Saban and guys like that to succeed when they can do whatever they want; recruit any players; gray shirt; judos and so on. Could either Meyer or Saban be so dominant at ND? Maybe some day one of them will have the guts to try.

So let us change the rules and do the same thing as OSU and Bama. At least we won't have these excuses anymore year after year. I don't see NCAA putting any sanctions on those two schools so obviously they are not doing anything illegal.

Illegal? Not that we know of, but doesn't mean they aren't. Unethical? Absolutely. If you think ND should emulate what they do, then you haven't a clue what ND is all about. You would be better served following one of those football factories.

Stanford is crushing. We will have lost to three of the top five teams in the nation when the final polls come out. And THAT after losing our starting QB and our two starting RBs. (And, our starting Nose tackle.) Get over yourselves fellas. I'm disappointed too, but our program is going in the right direction.

This is pathetic. We always lose to anyone that's in top 10 year after year. You are kind of person that's happy with moral victories (hey at least we only lost to top 5/ top 10 teams). Please tell me when was the last time we beat a top 10 team.

I know it hasn't happened for at least 3 years if not longer. So as long as we lose to top 10 teams its OK? Your expectations are right on mark then that trend is not likely to change anytime soon.

I don't need your advice as to what team I should follow. Get off your high horse. Its unethical to let JUCOs in? or is it unethical to lower academic standards for student athletes? (even though they have to put so much more time in practice/game prep compare to a regular student? How is greyshirting unethical?

What unethical things is Stanford doing (they play better football than us year after year)? ND should play with same rules as the rest.

Apparently you do. First, we beat Stanford last year, so you don't know what you're talking about---Stanford does not play better football than ND year after year. Did you watch this year's Stanford game, or did you just look at the final score? Remember that Stanford had to kick a field goal as time expired to win the game at their place? You obviously want ND to compromise its principles and prostitute itself in the name of winning at all costs. If you fail to see how those practices are unethical, then that says a ton about your (lack of) character and moral compass. Again, although I strongly suspect that you're not even an ND fan in the first place, since ND doesn't meet your expectations of being a football factory, go follow Alabama, Ohio State, Florida State, etc... Those programs are essentially semi-pro teams which will accord more with your desires in a football program. Curious to know where you attended college since it's patently obvious based on your posting history that you have no clue what ND is about and never will.

We? You're not even an ND fan. Not sure who the "we" is to which you're referring. Anyone who thinks that ND should sell out its standards and become a football factory like Ohio State and Alabama should go support another team since you will always be disappointed. ND isn't going to change its principles. And as an alum, I hope it never does.

Stanford was not a top 10 team last year (8-5). so beating them last year was not a great accomplishment. Stanford has won 3 BCS/New Years bowls in last 5 years while ND hasn't won any in 22 years.... think about it 22 freaking years.

I watched that our pathetic defense was unable to stop Stanford from marching down and kicking a game winning field goal in 2 plays w/ 25 sec on the clock. It is sad and pathetic that biggest win for you (each year) is a close loss to a top 10 team (last year it was to FSU) congrats!

Save me your bullshi8 about your moral compass like I said before that's an excuse for losing. Most if not all universities operate on same principles of integrity, honesty, ethics and morality.

I know what ND is about. It has no desire to have a winning tradition anymore. It has morons like you who are happy with 8 wins every season and pat themselves on the back on your fake morality and values.

I didn't realize that you were in-charge of deciding who can or can't be a ND fan. I will make sure to check with you first in the future.

By the way what standards? I believe ND student athlete has to have a GPA of 2.0 coming out of high school. Could any student who doesn't play sports get admission to ND with that GPA? You don't consider that selling out?

No you don't know what it's about. If you feel this way about ND, then why do you bother following them in the first place? Again, where did you go to college? Maybe you should pull for that team since you obviously don't get ND whatsoever.

No, because they have to fulfill a certain core curriculum while in high school to even be considered for ND. And once they get to ND, they have to go to class. ND does not have jock majors like PE or sports and recreation like other schools. But of course you wouldn't know anythng about this. Again, if ND doesn't meet your football-factory standards, then why are you an ND fan in the first place? Go pull for Alabama. You would be a lot happier.

Idiot why would I pull for a team that I'm not a fan off. Does that make any sense to you? If every one stopped being a fan of ND football because they didn't meet your selection criteria you might have less than 10,000 people show up to home games.

Why are you so angry? I've asked you multiple times why you support a team that doesn't meet your standards, and you've failed to answer. Based on your criticisms of ND, as an alum I fail to comprehend why you're even a fan of ND in the first place. Perhaps you could articulate why you have some allegiance to ND. Otherwise it makes no sense. It's obvious that you are unable to handle the truth when it's thrown in your face, so you get angry and throw a tantrum. If you are incapable of being called out for your patent foolishness, perhaps you should either put me on ignore or step away from the board for awhile.
