Tillery needs a lengthy suspension. The stomp on the Olineman was bad but forgiveable. His brushing a knocked motionless player with his leg was sick. Deshone Kizer realized it right away and pushed Tillery and yelled at him. A motionless player--people are told to not move the injured players head due to a chance of paralysis. Everyone knows that even Tillery.
Tillery plays as soft as any dlineman I have ever seen at ND in my lifetime. I would rather have a Pat Kunz with less talent and a lot of drive then a pathetic whiner like Tillery.
Spot on Bodi. Tillery is soft. He needs to grow up and start acting and playing like a man.
He is an offensive lineman. They should move him to O.. line and play Elijah Taylor and Kareem. I blame the coaches. Enough with all the bad mouthing of Tillery.. He has untapped potential. This is football not tennis.

Kicking a motionless player on the ground is not what tough football players do. It is what cowards do.

People posting that he's a thug in the subject line is disappointing and I wish it was deleted by the board.
If you watched the Showtime show last year. He's a bright, curious kid that may need to mature in life and take football way more seriously to cash in on his potential.

Why is it that Notre Dame fans call other schools players thugs for doing less than Tillery did? He is also nothing but trouble--suspended before last years bowl game. Tweets about his head coach during season.
I will give Jerry the benefit of the doubt. It doesn't matter what we think anyway. Does his teammates feel they can depend on him? If yes, then that's good enough for me.
I don't think Tillery should be kicked off the team, but I do think he should be held to account. I happen to agree with the gist of the adjectives used by Bodi, but delete these from the conversation, and I can't believe those here suggesting Tillery's actions were of no consequence. I was blown away and embarrassed to see a ND football player acting that way. I'm all for attitude and physical play, but Tillery's actions were flat out wrong and no scapegoating Kelly or giving Tillery a pass for youthful frustration mitigate this fact.

Tillery should not be kicked off the team, or out of school. Talk about an overreaction! My God. He did a stupid thing (as kids will do) out of frustration and apologized for it. End of Story.
After what Ruffin did in the Alabama game an SC fan has little room to criticize, but I re watched the game. There is another time where he knees Rojo in the head will he is on the ground. Anybody can get caught up and lose control but this guy needs some instruction.
