After going 12 years of never sniffing the quality of team the level of Alabama at Notre Dame what will it say about Notre Dame if Brian Kelly at LSU beats Bama next week?

Odd question.

Odd.

Care to put money on that? Add in Kelly's performance with time to prepare for big games. That's a double whammy. Only way this isn't a complete blowout in Alabama's favor is if Saban decides to tap the brakes.

It's a conference home game. The LSU players are not intimidated by Alabama, they play them each and every season, and this Alabama team is not 2020 Alabama. I have watched LSU beat Mississippi, and win at Florida.

Who will win? Likely Alabama. But LSU winning would not shock me.

Yea, and how many big games at night did Kelly lay an egg. Hmmm, most recently Miami, Michigan, Cincinnati.

Next up, Alabama.

95 million guaranteed later, we will see.

I have watched his LSU team this season. He's a very good CFB head coach. How good, again, we will see.

Never say never. We could find reams of posts from a few years ago from our fans proclaiming that Harbaugh was a terrible coach. Michigan has taken the long view, and he seems to be doing okay for himself.

I have no idea if LSU will beat Alabama, but I do think Kelly will be more successful down there than his detractors think.

Then go bet 5 figures.
What has Bama really done to make you think they’ll blow LSUs doors off. They’ve had a few uncharacteristically close contests this year.

In reality LSU shouldn’t be as good as they are, they entered spring ball with under 60 scholarship players. BK did a nice job picking up a lot of solid guys in the portal.

Though the SOB left the ND QB room in shambles.

I was being facetious. I have no idea how this game will go. I would not be surprised either way regarding LSU at home plus 12.5.

Brian Kelly vs the elite, ON MOST OCCASIONS during the regular season, was within a legitimate chance for victory.

Georgia twice
Home and away
The one Georgia team shoulda, coulda, won the title.

@ Clemson
Kizer vs Watson night game @ Clemson
Clemson coulda shoulda won the title

@ FSU vs Winston
Brian Kelly's absolutely positively finest performance calling plays ever!!!

Clemson weird covid year victory...

Brian Kelly's problem has ALWAYS been just can't finish..close but no victory in regular season.

The 4 weeks prep time when playing the elite he get's utterly trounced.

You don't play with top elite teams in the regular season and could've won...
To getting blown out by the same level of opponent when a month of prep time is on the table...
The players were plenty good enough to compete and coulda won in the regular season.
Then suddenly with a month prep time their athletes got so much better? No.
The opposing coaches were just significantly better hence embarrassing BK with a month prep time

Other coaches adjust, scheme, study where they can exploit you.

Brian just arrogantly keeps on keeping on like nobody will ever guess what he'll run and his game plan.
It's the same ****ing plan he always runs.

If he beats Bama it won't mean shit.

If he wins an elite bowl game it means he improved.

You're putting some weird ass spin in a game that means absolutely positively fuchk all to us.

Define more successful?
He's always been an "ok" coach during regular season

It's the month prep time elite games he gets trounced

well he has 2 weeks to prepare for this game, and I look at the Tennessee game.

Wouldn't it be easier to get the State of New Jersey to pay for a little therapy, get a script for some psychotropic medication and admit to the world that you are in love with Brian Kelly? I mean ND and LSU are 8 games into their seasons with new coaches, but anytime someone mentions Brian Kelly, you come running like a teenage girl, who heard they were giving out free Taylor Swift tickets.

Wouldn't it be easier to travel to Baton Rouge, stand outside his house with a boom box, playing "In Your Eyes" by Peter Gabriel and just confess your love?

It would make you feel better, and explain so much to the rest of us

Not going to happen but even if it does it won't mean shit until he wins the playoff.

Everything else he had already accomplished at Notre Dame.

I think you meant to quote sjb.

BK was 4-13 against Top Ten teams...I'd bet big on 'Bama (and I just threw up a little in my mouth typing that....)

It would say that this might be a different Alabama team and it might say that this year’s LSU team might have better personnel

This is an ND board. Try Geaux Tigers or something along those lines if that interested. Further, Kelly walked away from ND, so who cares about hypotheticals involving him? He's happy, got his money, no limits on who he can recruit both at the HS level and transfer portal and that's that. If an ND fan, would like to think you'd be posting about Coach Freeman rather than speculating about a non-consequential game for IRISH FANS. WE have a game against Clemson next weekend which means more to our program than a game played in the SEC. GO IRISH!

I didn't start this thread. I haven't started a single BK thread in almost a year. I could care less really about BK. Unlike you and a few others that have lovee thing going on with BK, I haven't even watched a single LSU game. I just don't care, but i will make money next week taking Bama as I did this past weekend taking ND. 😛

I’ll be at the game. Kelly would have 2 wins against top 10 teams in his first year if he pulls it out.

like I said in the other thread, draw a line through the Tennessee game. They are destroying almost everyone. Best team I’ve seen this year

well, then I will grab my crossbow and look up and start shooting down some pigs!

"could not care less..."

I rarely see anyone claim they lost money on a bet. Have you ever lost money on a bet?

Ii would say the only time Kelly beats saban is when saban's team is below his average which clearly this one is
