is ND has not won a major bowl since about the 1994 Cotton Bowl, and most if not all the major bowl games they have played in since have been blowouts. ND had a great “regular season” I would like to see a great “post season” at some point.

That is half of it. The other half is the vibe that the university is not willing to do everything it is capable of to provide its best possible team.

Leave the admissions out of it because that isn’t going to change.

Notre Dame should never be short handed with coaching talents because of not paying top dollar for talented coaches. Too many talented, difference making assistants have left for top dollar elsewhere that end up getting replaced from the discount aisle or the Kelly nepotism lane, and it shows on critical parts of the program right now.

It is unacceptable for them to not compete at the highest levels on a stage that does not compromise their core values. Notre Dame should never lose a talent acquisition battle over coaches because of pay rate.
