I keep seeing articles on B/G stating 2017 recruits are committed. That's great and all but how are they approaching recruits to get that information? Is it expectation of loss?

ND is recruiting out of their mind right now and for a pay site to get an interview and ask if they are "really" committed sends the wrong signal IMO. Pay sites should report and nothing more. I could give two shits less how much it hurts to lose a recruit - why even ask them to play out that scenario in their mind?

I don't even follow recruiting anymore. I guess I got bored of it since I first started following recruiting in 2005,2006.2007,2008,2009,2010,2011,2012,2013,2014,2015,2016,2017,2018, 3264, and on and on it goes.
Time flies !! I am just going to enjoy whoever is on the field starting in September. Sorry about being a wet blanket like Perse but I used to be super into recruiting and wonder if there are others who this happened to..

Thanks Bodi and I understand where you are coming from. I don't follow recruiting much but there seems to be a mindset with ND fans that ND can't keep the 'big boys' ND recruits. ND is a hot commodity right now and that should continue for years to come with BK and Co. Like you, I will leave recruiting to the coaches and root for the teams they field.

Bodi, not someone who follows recruiting for the most part, but I do get interested when a recruit gives us his commitment. I thoroughly appreciate the posts of those here that follow recruiting, share their opinions, and keep us updated on trends. Helps keep the offseason interesting. My take at least.

Telx, I was a recruiting addict from 2005 to 2015. I understand the pull.

Yea, but you at least have the pull of the Gulf with sailing and fishing and bikini clad young women to keep you entertained during the offseason.

Something fans dont like to hear when their team isn't recruiting well but these days of the year are just as important/if not more important than Saturdays in the fall & winter.

Any real fan would be HIGHLY vested in the type/quality of talent the program is able to attract.

Screw you Chaseball--- I hope the Irish get the best recruits I just don't follow it anymore.
Maybe You are not a real fan because you think recruiting is more important than what happens on Saturdays.

Chase...I get your point, but Totally off the wall concluding that these dog days of recruitment are more important than game days, and that Bodi is somehow not a real fan because he broke his addiction to following recruiting. Provocative for the fun of it; or do you really believe this nonsense?
