CJ in for Folston......Adams in for CJ........Deshone in for Malik.......Cage & Tillery in for Jarron.......Alize in for Smythe.....

Is there not an opportunity to see what MORGAN and CONEY can do on gameday at LB???

You realize the "prove" in that sentence is used like in proving ground, right? It means the exception tests the rule.

Been thinking a lot about this the last few weeks. Really bummed with our LB play with exception of J. Smith of course. Schmidt like others have said is just too slow. Onwualu I think is athletic and fast enough, but mentally just seems to always be out of place. To me he doesn't seem comfortable playing LB nor has the instincts.

For conversation's sake, let's say Morgan and Coney aren't mentally prepared to take on a full time role at LB. Okay, fine. Would it kill us to put them in some situational downs such as 2nd and long and 3rd and long? Have them play basic assignment football such as covering the running back or tight end or blitz on the edge? It'd be nice to get them some experience now, since there's a strong possibility of them starting next year.

I was hopeful that we would see a NEW Schmidt starting vs pitt........but then I see him "blindly" trailing the TE literally out of bounds while the QB is scrambling and I scream.........always seems to be blocked......lordy........I hope he is an outstanding motivator cause....oh well....

BEAT WF!!!
