The Irish would have went 12 and 0 in 2009 if Ian Book was the QB instead of Jimmy Clausen.
Think about it ? The 2009 Irish had Golden Tate, Kyle Rudolf, Michael Floyd, Amando Allen, Trevor Robinson, Chris Watt, Duval Kumara, Kapron Lewis Moore, Sergio Brown, Manti Teo, Jonas Grey, Robert Hughes, Jamoris Slaughter, Theo Riddick, David Bruton among many other great players !!

Jimmy Clausen was good but not elite (I don't care what the man up North thinks).
He had cement shoes ! He could have easily run it in for a TD from the one yard line against Navy but slowed down out of fear as a Navy linebacker lowered the BOOM on Jimmy causing him to fumble which was the main reason we lost to NAVY !

Ian Book would have saved Charlies job !

I was just trying to bring attention to the Book situation. He has done so much for the Irish yet he is treated like crap by many monkeybrained Irish fans. Like he can't win the Big game---Well Jimmy C. and Brady Quinn and Kizer couldn't win the big game either. Maybe it is not all Books fault for losing three games in his entire career !

the offense let us down over and over in 09. Final years for a coach are quite entertaining because the team is proficient at one thing the HC cares greatly about; and inept in other areas.
