Arlington Heights (Ill.) St. Viator three-star tight end Cole Kmet will be in South Bend on July 30 for an unofficial visit. Kmet, who was offered by Notre Dame after the Irish Invasion, said he will also see Ohio State next week, but wasn't sure of an exact date.
When asked if he was planning to make a commitment after seeing both schools – again – Kmet didn't rule it out.
"Not planning on it but if something feels right with a school I wont be afraid to make a decision," Kmet said.
The 6-4, 220-pound tight end is ranked by Rivals.com as the No. 10 tight end in the country and the No. 5 prospect in the state of Illinois for the class of 2017. Kmet added that he has been in contact with assistant coaches Mike Denbrock and Scott Booker, and has been told by the staff that the Irish would like to pair him with current tight end commit Brock Wright.
