Take Purdue off the schedule

Yes, that's right. That is indeed the New World Order in college football. This article explains it quite well.

Alright well thank you then, sir. You appear to trolling with the only possible ammunition available to you in the aftermath of such a devastating loss. But really you're just so desperate to pass this important news on to ND fans who are apparently so woefully in the dark and in denial, that you keep insisting and adamantly insisting on the certainty of it.

I guess if you really squint it could be construed as a sly allusion to the power and formidable nature of a Big Ten schedule, and USC is in so deep already that they don't dare continue their beloved rivalry with old Notre Dame. But that just makes it sound like they'd rather play Purdue than ND. And is yet another insult to yourself.

I didn’t respond directly to one word he wrote.

Meanwhile, you write long winded paragraphs to anything Chaseball writes.
I rarely write paragraphs and you responded to at least 10 or more of his posts

I can't believe you respond to that troll

There are now four posters I do my best to never directly respond to. If I have, it’s as little as possible.

Two are incessant trolls, and two are out in left field.

I am not trolling. And yes, many ND fans are in denial that USC is ending their storied rivalry with ND. I have watched and enjoyed that game every year for over half a century excluding the time I was stationed overseas. It's in the same league as the Red River Rivalry and Ohio St-Michigan. But the CFP has evolved - perhaps devolved - into a scenario in which there are two power conferences and the teams within those conferences have their plates full without playing OOC games against heavyweights.

You care more than ND fans do. You are the only one writing about it and worrying about it.

Wanna bet? You think a female AD who has been on the job for one year and who has already echoed Riley's comments is going to over-rule a head coach on a ten-year, $100 million contract? There has been no outcry from the USC alumni about cancelling the series, and while some sportswriters have moaned and groaned, others actually support Riley's position (link).

Let's face it, USC will be playing a much tougher schedule going forward than ND will, USC already has an archrival and the Big Ten won't be involved with scheduling an OOC game like the Pac-12 was.

I'll take that bet. What do you have in mind for stakes?

Just to keep this friendly, how about $100? The wager will be finalized when USC completes its 2027 schedule. If ND is on it, you win. If not, I win.
It might be a safer bet as to whether I'm still alive after the 2027 season, but, assuming I am, you're on.

Looks like he's calling your bluff! And a friendly wager to keep things honest.

I don't think it's going to happen. Cooler heads will prevail. The USC/ND rivalry will endure.
