1 from the offense & 1 from the defense.

Last year my choices were Prosise & Baratti. More right than wrong w/ CJ I guess and an incomplete w/ Baratti because of the injury. They have to be players that haven't gotten much playing time yet, kinda under the radar. My picks for 2015 are: on offense, Torii Hunter Jr. W/ a pretty loaded WR corps, it's a bit of a reach, but by the time the season's over, I think Hunter will make some big plays for us. On defense, Greer Martini. Once again, that's a position w/ some reasonable depth, & it's not as though he hasn't gotten playing time, but it has been limited. I just think he's too tough, athletic & instinctive a player to not get on the field and solidify a good LB corps. There were many other names that could be on the list, so have at it.

Those r good picks

Russell will be good but that's not a surprise
I go with 2 breakout guys and then my surprise picks. Breakout is Jaylon n Malik

Surprise r shipmate n Justin yoon

Depends on your version of he rules, but I'd go with:

Offense:
1.) Zaire - Obvious
2.) Prosise - Just starting at RB so is count him as eligible here
3.) Nelson - in the ideal position to succeed as a young OL
4.) Smythe - Most complete TE. We'll be using TEs a lot
5.) McGlinchey - From back to blindside OT, and ideal for for this offense

HM - Jones (TE), Hunter (WR)

Defense:
1.) Redfield - Played a lot, but no explodes into national scene
2.) Trumbetti - Played some, going to really step forward now
3.) Blakenship - Strength increase puts him on the field early and often
4.) Hayes - Going to play ALOT at DT
5.) Morgan - Too good to keep off the field, but no longer needs to make the calls

HM - Grace (LB), Watkins (CB), Tillery (DT)

Excellent picks. Yoon may very well win a game or two w/ a late kick. I think Rochelle has a monster year too but he's had plenty of playing time. Still falls under the radar a bit though. He is primed for a big year, imo. Trumbetti & Blankenship will show much improvement w/ a year of strength & conditioning under their belt.

Why isn't anyone talking about Folston? The guy was the best RB I've seen at ND since Waters (and I loved Theo the warrior but Folston is better.) I think he is going to be one of the top five in the country this year. Kid just has it (he amazed at times last year!) and he is running behind one of the best O-lines in the country. Give him the damn ball, Kelly!

Justin Brent goes hog wild as a running back and shocks the world. He then declares for the NFL draft and is never heard of again (other than in the tabloids).

Stu, nobody is talking about Folston in this thread because he isn't a surprise player. We all expect him to be great this year.
Can't wait to see him get the rock !

Correct, bodi. This list is about under the radar guys. Folston doesn't apply, but w/ that said, I agree w/ stu, that he's a stud and is under-rated a bit. He'll have a monster year, imo. Any word on the TE situation, anyone? Will Smythe continue the run at TE U?

Looking at videos TWO things keep catching my attention: 1) the entire DL with pass rush techniques; 2) Kizer. Hope both are positive surprises this year!
