Josh Anderson has spent the better part of the past three years playing the role of opposing running backs on the scout team offense. Now the pre-med student, whose father graduated from Notre Dame, is on scholarship.

"I can tell you that [the scout team] taught me so many life lessons and it gave me the strength to persevere through everything," Anderson said. "Going to practice and being on scout and helping my brothers get better at football, that was my main goal. I would come out there every single day and my goal was to get my brothers — my teammates — better and to prepare them for the game on Saturday."
