A Plano West High School football player who was one of the most sought-after
college recruits nationwide was arrested early Sunday on charges of
drinking alcohol and fleeing police in a vehicle, records show.

Soso Jamabo, whose legal name is Sotonye Josiah Jamabo, was booked
into the Kaufman County Jail around 1:30 a.m., online booking records
show.
Jamabo, 18, was held on charges of evading arrest with a vehicle,
minor consumption of alcohol, minor in possession of alcohol, speeding,
driving without possessing a driver's license and disregarding a stop
sign. He remained jailed Sunday morning.
Details about the police allegations weren't immediately available.
Kemp police, who arrested Jamabo, didn't immediately respond to a
request for information.
It's unclear whether Jamabo has an attorney.

Jamabo was one of the most sought-after football prospects in the
nation for the Class of 2015, ranked No. 22 overall by Rivals.com.
The 6-2, 200-pound running back was named USA Today first-team
all-American following his senior season, in which he rushed for 2,279
yards and 44 touchdowns.
The five-star recruit made national news during his recruiting
process, when a joke he told on WFAA - saying his college choice had
narrowed to University of Phoenix and ITT Tech - went viral. He picked
UCLA over a host of other offers, including Notre Dame, Texas and Texas
A&M.
He was also a starter on the Plano West basketball team, which won the Class 6A state title in March.
