hope we don't see him and Kizer needs all the snaps he can get including late in games, but he's now number two and I'm guessing we see him at some point. That leaves Montgomery Van Gorder at the three QB.
Coach Kotite is back.if they continue to run the high risk offense we me see Jaylon at QB!
Remember we only know Zach Collaros because Pike got hurt; TR because DC got hurt, TR because EG got hurt and then MZ gets hurt (note: EG played to not get hurt ( he knew defenses only wanted the football and so surrendered it willingly).
Any volunteers for QB?
Agree that Wimbush will get the playing time regardless. Kelly will have to ease him in without affecting Kizer's confidence. Should explain that the team needs both QB's to have playing time. From there, the cream will rise to the top.
I think Winbush will play regardless of Kizer getting hurt. He will give ND another dimension. Kizer is mobile but not a great runner. They aren't going to abandon the offense that they have been working on all season...nor should they.
Joe? Or Nate?2. QB - D. Kizer | 6-4, 230 . Tanker of arm!!!
3. QB - B. Wimbush | 6-1, 216 Not ready to play
4. QB - M. VanGorder | 6-0, 215 next Joe Montana!!!!
Irish blooded -- it would be much more entertaining if you showed redfield effectively playing the ball in the air rather than showing a meaningless cheap shot that cost us 7 ptsI have been a huge Zaire fan for the last couple of years.
If Wimbush finds a way to be a start this year. Zaire will have his hands getting the starting spot back. Wimbush has a great big arm. And is very elusive in the pocket.
I am sure he is still working on wrapping his head around the play book. And I'm sure kelly is already working on limited play packages in case he does see the field. But I'm not joking when I say he might have the most upside of any QB on the roster currently.

ND will be fine. Kelly knows how to direct a team to an 8-4 record. He has a lot of experience in doing so.Even if DK plays lights out against GT, I think BK will get Winbush some experience in the UMASS game. I hate to say this, but from the early summer, ND is now on its 3rd string QB. We have 11 games to go.

How'd that top notch running ability work out for Zaire? Not so good. His moronic coach ran him until he literally broke him. The moment Kelly understands the lifeblood of any football team is its QB, will be a great thing that could elevate the program some day.Unlikely Wimbush would have been at ND for 5 years anyway. As far as his running ability, he's mobile, but nothing like Zaire.
