What are all of you hoping to see coming put of spring ball? As a former offensive lineman I'm anxious to see what the depth chart will look like at guard and center. With it looking like Martin is moving back to center who will lock down the guard spot he is vacating?

Besides the obvious qb battle it will be interesting to see what happens at rb as well. There are two very good backs in Folston and Bryant but who after that? I could see Amir taking some snaps at back during spring until the freshman arrive.

On defense will the playing time that the younger guys got last year translate into turning the dline and linebacking core into a strength rather than a liability?

What is going to happen with the Safety positions? Will the football knowledge finally catch up to the physical abilities for Shumate and Redfield? The two have the athletic ability to be the best set of safeties in the country but if they can't get in the correct positions and make plays that athletic ability will be for not.

I'm interested to see what you all think.
You're not very bright, are you?
I'm a dimly lit light bulb Mikey
Just realized I thought I was replying to Weisenheimer..... I guess that makes me the dimmest of all?
That's ok. I have already sent an email to the mods because you are being a poo poo head.

It's simple really:

Where the corner takes the cover option in the Miami, he must peel and roll, making sure to press the perimeter right at the seam. Other than being careful about PI, he doesn't need to prioritize the blue once the ball is snapped, unless the hot read takes it east-west on the inverted side of the shell.

While traditionalists might call this basically the wheel strong, really it's a wrinkle on the wheel as the 1 and 2 always stay in their lanes essentially, and allow the seam to "roll" right to the coverage fulcrum, provided 1 and 2 can time their presses at the attack.

But beware: teams like Boise St. are known to apply a modified hook and ladder to the "rolling seam" concept, creating havoc, and at times totally negating even strong side stack-and-shoot concepts which are part of the Miami.

Except he isn't attacking he perimeter he is going from a weak side inversion to deep seam strong side. So I'm lost here and what's with the route tree? Is fatty making a funny?

I find it interesting cvgr didn't come into thus thread with his rule book.

I appreciate your contributions to the football only talk ssavon but I was hoping to get a little insight from some of our illustrious other members as well. Sadly they have gone quiet, somehow I guess, thinking that this is all a ruse.
Thanks for posting guys. You both brought up some very good points. I also thought we would have had some solid contributions for some of the Non paying people.
