This is excellent news......considering all of the angst over the portal departures, etc....Besides....this kid has a very bright future. A veteran quarterback like Leonard could be a significant mentor...since we really have no experienced veteran to work with him.

He will be part of a group that competes for the 2025 QB job, along with Steve Angeli, Kenny Minchey, and Deuce Knight.

Yes.... instead they can be competing elsewhere. If anything both Pyne and Buchner sitting on the bench or injured should show them sticking at ND, getting the degree and then maybe transfering as graduates is best. Take a look back the last 20 years and many seasons have seen injuries to QB's and backups getting their opportunities.
