Selection Committee

Somebody should ask Hardballs if they should be replaced by FSU after blatant cheating!

Yet another year why, as I've said from day 1, the playoff should've been more than 4 teams.

There are ALWAYS going to be more than 4 teams that "deserve" to play for the championship of a sport.

Not a job I would want, but I would've picked Alabama too. No way FSU would beat them. And that will essentially be proven when Georgia beats them by 2+ TD's. You have to talk about context in a situation where 1 team is undefeated and 1 has 1 loss on this level. I know a lot of you just blindly hate the SEC no matter what and it clouds your judgement, but the reality is what it is.

BCS would have also solved for this year, clearly two teams at the top.

I'm not saying you are wrong... all I am saying is nobody knows. It's ALL speculation. What's not speculation is one team from a major conference went undefeated, the other lost a game.
They stink without their starting QB. Best 4 teams are in.

Then why even play the season if your one injury away from being left out.
You are arguing that they should change the criteria from best team to the most deserving team (and I agree that should be the criteria).

There will never be agreement with who the best 4 teams are (is Georgia the 6th best team?).

There would be less controversy if the criteria were most deserving (I think all agree FSu is amongst the 4 most deserving)

Because its the four best teams DUH. If Travis doesn't get hurt then FSU would be in. Without him, they are done. Its an injury on a QB, not a DL or LB or RB. If Mccarthy got hurt, michigan wouldn't have made it. Whats so hard to understand? fsu stinks without Travis

I watched an FSU defense play better defense than everyone that played Friday and Saturday. No one is mentioning that. Their defensive line just absolutely dominated.
The SEC is an Auburn defensive coordinator blunder away from being left out of the playoffs.

It was all about getting the sec in. If goergia won they put in fsu over Texas. But since alabama won they had to put both in.

That is just what I heard on SuriusXM College Sports Radio.....hum indeed

So I assume the committee in its fairness will put FSU back in if one of the other four playoff team's quarterbacks injures himself in a practice leading up to the game? That's what so ridiculous in how they made their decision. Did FSU's offense look weak with a freshman QB last night, yes it did, but wouldn't they have a month of preparation with their now healthy backup QB to get ready for the game?

It's a really bad look for the NCAA but with NIL and the open door transfer portal, it's almost to be expected now. Listening to the guy try to explain it and then Chris Fowler basically slobbering over his "expertise" was pathetic.
