oh yea, because some YouTuber/twitter dude knows what the CFP playoff committee will be thinking. You and Chase should go elope

oh yea like some podcaster that has ZERO intel, and is talking out of his ass. You would be that dumb to actually believe everything you listen to on the interweb. You and Chase battling it out for biggest loser on this forum.
I'll take it a step further.I said before the season started Duke wouldn't be a push over. I don't envision this to be a cakewalk. But Notre Dame represents the best team Duke will have played in their first six games. Elko has turned them around quickly. THey were terrible the last two years of Cutcliffe being coach. But, 9-4 last year, bowl win vs Central Florida. This year, 5-0 with a resounding win over Clemson. You can argue their competition outside of Clemson has been subpar (and it has) but they've basically blown out every one on their schedule.
There will be ALOT of Notre Dame fans at Wallace Wade. There was in 2019. I got my tickets a few weeks ago after Duke beat Clemson because I thought there was a very good chance both the Irish and Duke would be undefeated, or at worst each have one loss. This is an important rebound game for the Irish, mentally as much as physical. This is about maintaining focus, and putting last week in the rear view. Perhaps, in comparison to last year with Marshall being the follow up game to OSU, playing a quality opponent in a big game is more beneficial. I think they thought they could roll over Marshall last year and they were wrong. This about a chance to beat a quality top 15 opponent on the road. Duke isn't going to just lay down. They have a dual threat QB, and a physical defense.
For Duke, this like a Super Bowl of sorts with it being at home, playing Notre Dame and Gameday coming to Durham for the first time ever for football. But, their stock will never be higher for all of the fanfare surrounding the game and they deserve the recognition because they are a good football team.

I don’t think you’re wrong, but I want to add that if we lose, how we lose might be the straw that breaks the camel’s back.I'll take it a step further.
Duke may be more than not only a pushover. As a 5.5 underdog, DUKE COULD WIN. While I appreciate the "respect" people are showing Duke, no one is coming right out and saying that they COULD beat ND. So, I'm saying it. Not because I'm predicting it but because it's a PLAUSIBLE OUTCOME.
I also think that this game is a bit more than how you've described it below:
While losing this game would obviously eliminate ND from playoff contention, it could also prevent ND from SALVAGING this season, irrespective of the playoffs. If people lost their cookies over the OSU loss, there's no telling what kind of NEGATIVE FEEDBACK a loss to Duke would generate -- since as good as they may be, the popular perception is that they're still DUKE.
And the HELL that would come down on Freeman and the staff if ND were to lose would be MAJOR, igniting all sorts of ULTIMATA over who should be fired and in WHAT ORDER.
The good news is -- IF ND CAN WIN -- and better yet WIN HANDILY -- it will remove much of the stigma of the OSU loss while still preserving ND's narrow shot at a playoff berth.
This is an EXTREMELY IMPORTANT and perhaps PIVOTAL game, and how it turns out will say a lot about the current state of the program and its ability to HANDLE BUSINESS in the FACE OF ADVERSITY.
I hope I'm wrong, but I expect another SERIOUS CHALLENGE. A one-score game or less is a distinct POSSIBILITY.
Am I correct in assuming that the HOW you're referring to might be COACHING BLUNDERS? If so, THAT WOULD BE BRUTAL. And for ALL involved.I don’t think you’re wrong, but I want to add that if we lose, how we lose might be the straw that breaks the camel’s back.
Let’s hope that we win big !
This video is completely laughable!!! What is he a prophet!!! Not!!!oh yea, because some YouTuber/twitter dude knows what the CFP playoff committee will be thinking. You and Chase should go elope
Correct on “how” !Am I correct in assuming that the HOW you're referring to might be COACHING BLUNDERS? If so, THAT WOULD BE BRUTAL. And for ALL involved.
But if that wasn't your point, what was?
And, yes, the best remedy of all for what ails ND NATION at this moment would be a RESOUNDING VICTORY in Durham. Say, like the 66 USC game or the last Clemson game.
A NO DOUBT ABOUT-ER.
Agree with all this. Good post. I don’t see ND taking this like Marshall. It’s a top 20 team. Marshall was a massive underdog. I think the spread here is less than a TD.I said before the season started Duke wouldn't be a push over. I don't envision this to be a cakewalk. Advil needed.Thought so.
"Never can predict a win..."Agree with all this. Good post. I don’t see ND taking this like Marshall. It’s a top 20 team. Marshall was a massive underdog. I think the spread here is less than a TD.
Only thing is the legs. We didn’t sub nearly as much so we might have some dings and pains we don’t know about. Duke will be fresh. Maybe this is FINALLY the game we get some of those bounces on TO’s we cause. Maybe we hang on to those pics. We had 2 at OSU we dropped.
Never can predict a win but no Marshall here I don’t think.
I think Notre Dame is the most complete team Duke will have played thus far, yes, even more complete than Clemson as this juncture of the season. The two P5 games that Clemson has played (Duke, FSU) they have lost. I will give Clemson credit for taking Florida State wire to wire on Saturday.Agree with all this. Good post. I don’t see ND taking this like Marshall. It’s a top 20 team. Marshall was a massive underdog. I think the spread here is less than a TD.

Likely to use Evans and STAES a lot more. I would like to see Tyree's speed used as an advantage. They were successful immediately against OSU but never looked for him again. Confounding.I like Greathouse and Flores and Merriweather is coming on now.Let the freshman play! Flores and Greathouse with Tyree and Merriweather!!!
That guy's an ND hater. I've seen some of his videos before.
Fans don't need to move on.I think Freeman has moved on to Duke, which is good and the most important thing. Its the clowns, like Brady quinn and Lou Holtz who keep making ND look bad.
Game is over, move on to Duke.
And for 12 years with BK, right?I read this often last week regarding Ohio St.
I moved on Sunday night. 24 hour rule.hard for fans to move on to the next game after a loss until the next game starts
Totally agree. Especially after a loss like thathard for fans to move on to the next game after a loss until the next game starts
I should be in durham by 3, i'm sure us ND fans will be talking about OSU still for a few hours tailgaiting. I'll get into the stadium around 6, have a beer, watch warmups, and the juices will be on to duke.Totally agree. Especially after a loss like that
Michigan 2011 was way worse for me.Totally agree. Especially after a loss like that
Okay. But it didn't mean anything. We weren't a playoff type team.Michigan 2011 was way worse for me.
Playing Michigan always means something. And for me, that loss was worse.Okay. But it didn't mean anything. We weren't a playoff type team.
That game sucked. I wanted to win bad. But in the big picture of making a playoff or getting to a ny6 it meant nothing
This loss could cost us so much more.
That’s a valid point.hard for fans to move on to the next game after a loss until the next game starts
Think O-h-i-o fans need to stop being clowns over differing opinions and move on!I think Freeman has moved on to Duke, which is good and the most important thing. Its the clowns, like Brady quinn and Lou Holtz who keep making ND look bad.
Game is over, move on to Duke.
