I usually stay away from the snarky SEC posts, but it's late, 2024 is almost over, I have watched about 209 Nick Saban commercials in the last 3 days, and I am plum full of talkin heads and some posters on this board telling me how good the SEC is. Sure, they can come back and say the ACC blows and that certain teams did not deserve to be in the playoff, but damn, do you see the list of teams that beat the "deepest, strongest country in college football".

USC and SCUM had some of the most devastating portal/draft defections of any teams in the country so don't tell me about second string and whatever the hell excuse you give me. ATM got beat by a 6-6 Big 10 team that didn't have any of their starting WRs, RB, their left tackle and a host of others. SCUM's defense dominated Alabama with five of their best players not playing, including 2 first round defensive tackles. Oklahoma - i don't want to hear it - you lost to Navy - end of story - embarrassing. No SEC team should ever lose to Navy if one was to believe the hype machine we have been listening to for the last 3 months. And lastly, lil SC - losing to the Illini. After Bielema climbed in Beamer's head and started rattling around with the delayed substitutions (wow - Beamer's pissed that he is being outcoached with late substitutions? Make your substitutions sooner or don't make them) the sideline reporter (don't know who he was) said the atmosphere on the field and in the stands was as electric and tense as he has seen at any game ever... that both teams and fanbases were 100% invested... and low and behold... even after being "disrespected" and getting extra motivation, SC (maybe the best team in the SEC at the end of the season according to some) got whooped by 8-4 Illinois. Come on.

Texas and UGA may be legit, but the rest of the conference are folding like blankets. May the streak continue. Go Irish

ACC champion Clemson was 0-3 against the SEC, including losing at home in game 12 to non playoff South Carolina.

Spin that.

And teams we beat (or lost to) did pretty well in their bowls.

Only Georgia Tech... and A&M (which doesn't count since they lost to USC....

NIU
