A true freshmen will never start.IMO the problem is that Wimbush isn't a passing QB and you need the QB to be able pass, smart and able to make some runs when needed. You just can't rely on a running game. Ian Book was a more capable passer. If Wimbush comes back I think Ian or Phil (Freshman) may be strong challenges to Wimbush.
