O is starting to come on. He was good yesterday. Is there any doubt that K. Russell needs to come back next year and improve his draft status?

Best game Okwara has had in a long time, maybe ever.

Yes he started in 2012 but he does not lose a year of eligibility in 2014 when he sat out the entire year. The five years to play four still works for him even while academically ineligible.
Everett Golson lost a year of eligibility when he set out for academic violations. Just assuming the same would be true for Russell

Uh, duh. That makes a difference.

What's with the rude response? Then why the **** are you asking this simple question?

You get five years to play four. Golson saved a year in 2011. He didn't in 2013 because of the 5 to play 4 rule. Russell hadn't sat out a year until 2014 so was able to preserve a year of eligibility in that year. The reason for missing a year doesn't matter in regards to being allowed a fifth year.

Punk.

Are you sure of this 44? I thought if it were an "academic impropriety" that caused the loss of a year the player could not get that year back. Not flaming, just curious.

I'm not certain, but I don't see why not. It seems unfair to give Golson a 5th and not Russell simply because Golson had already sat out a year, ya know?

I also don't know if the school discloses that sort of thing to the NCAA.

Wow! Calm down, key board killer. I was taking a shot at myself with my "duh" comment.

So you don't really know? Cause the way your posting and attacking me (when I clearly was taking a shot at myself) one would think you actually knew the facts here.

We're all good now, but I wasn't going to say with absolute certainty about the rule because I don't pretend those sorts of things. I'm very confident though.

It definitely wasn't clear to be you were making fun of yourself. Sorry again.
