Well, if you have been scratching your head and wonder what Quinn and Elliott have been up to, this might help:

Apparently the number one thing coach Elliott has been tasked with is to solve the option. He has been tasked to talk to other coaches and whoever to demystify the option. I am not sure if this is re-assuring since we now know ND has been preparing for GT and Navy for the past year -- or, if it is cause for alarm because it shows that Uncle Rico has no clue how to "exercise his options."

Now, I prefer to think of this as a positive -- for now. That with a year under our belt and every rock turned over searching for the answer to defending the option, we finally have the magic beans. I expect to see magic Saturday whereas just a few hours ago before leaning of this nugget, I was getting nauseous and seeing a GT juggling act in my head.

Now, I don't know what Quinn has been doing to earn his money but Coach Elliott is a secondary coach and a good one. He is detail oriented and I am gonna count on him to be our salvation.

Get ready for some smash mouth option defense boys. In Elliott we trust.

Please don't let us down Coach.

ps- Bodi or anyone- how on earth do you get the title thread in bold face type?

The only defensive coach worth his stripes is Coach Schmidt and he plays middle linebacker.
He will have the troops ready for the triple option.
The first thing he will say in the Dhuddle is forget every thing BVG has told you guys. I am running the show now !

This is the Jeff Quinn from Kelly's old staff, correct? If so, why the heck did Buffalo fire him? He had them trending up and was 3-4 with some close losses when they fired him. Seems idiotic.
