I had to start a separate thread on this because ever since it was revealed that freshman QB Montgomery VanGorder was put on scholarship last, one of the most asked questions among board members on sites I have been at is "Don't employees at the University (like Brian VanGorder) see their kids automatically get free tuition?" I address this in another thread on Amir Carlisle, but think this needs to stand on its own because it gets asked so frequently.
I was able to attend ND on free tuition (but not room, board and books) only because my father had put in, at the time, the required 10 years by a staff member (South Dining Hall). For faculty, I believe it was five years at the time. I've attached a link to last year's handbook which states one must have worked at the school for at least five years.
