Looks like Pride has set a decision date for Christmas Eve. A few crystal balls were put in for the Irish today!! Would love to finish with Pride, Hamlin, McKinley/Robertson, and one of our LB targets. Two LB targets would be a major haul. Keep working boys! Go Irish!

when steve wiltfong puts in a crystal ball for ND I usually expect him to choose ND. So its looking good for #21 in the class. Sounds like 1 of the sites liked him so much at the Shrine bowl that they are going to possibly bump him into the top 100! He's not even in their top 250.

From the video I have watched on the DBs they are recruiting now, it looks like they are going for ball skills over athletic ability. Maybe giving up a little top end speed for the ability to turn and find the ball, and play the ball. Not a bad thing, just my observation.

If you can find a way for bothbwhile assuring room for McC, McK Davis and Kelly

that is 6 but only four or 5 spots! but every problem has a solution.

If those guys all wanted in, we'd find them all spots (we could probably get as many more as 7 into this class)

Oh you got me pennick. I ate crow on that and will do so again, not sure why you want to single me out for that one when a lot of people were in that boat. The rose bowl match up is boring and while the Fiesta is epic it surprises me that they didn't split ND and Ohio St to make both bowls more interesting.

still sounding like everything is pointing towards him choosing the Irish tomorrow afternoon.

possibly into the Top 100.

Hamlin or Pride has been the question; the debate over who is better has been the debate. Both are and have been considered top prospects. Put a sock in your sarcasm. There is a possibility ND takes both.

Notre Dame wold definitely take both Pride and Hamlin if hey both want to commit

The harder question would be "What if Jordan Fuller wanted to commit after them as well?"

247 is saying basically saying that they bumped him up for the season he just had including a very good showing at the sc vs nc shrine bowl game. they are also saying he has a second gear basically speed wise

I believe not only is he rated #85 overall, but he got bumped to the 9th best CB

Does Rivals still have to do one final ranking? If so, any noise that he will move up on Rivals?

they always do 1 after the all American games, don't know anything about him possibly moving up on rivals. If he isn't playing in 1 of those games, which I don't know if he is, he probably wont have a significant jump, but he might move up a little. I honestly don't know though.

The best analysis on him seems to hold that he has great potential, but may not be an "immediate impact" player, which is the main knock on his grade

He's shown a top level second gear, has very good length/frame, smooth hips, and good acceleration. But his strength and technique apparently need a lot of work
Basically, he just rely on his speed, height, and athleticism right now (not surprising, since it lets him dominate his level of competiiton) but to be a high level college player he'll need to take these skills and apply them to a more polished style of play

Based onnwhatbrovals analysts have said, I'd expect him to make a move to 4* in the final rankings, potentially into the bottom of the Top250, but not the Top100 on Rivals

He's a great get for ND though (if we land him) and brings a skill set that our DB hail doesn't have yet

If we close strong, this could be an elite DB haul with top end talent and amazing versatility and depth

At this point there is a wide disparity in his 247 ranking compared to his composite ranking. At any rate, he is likely Irish, so he is an honorary 5* at minimum!

Really hope we get him as we are now out for Hamlin.

I think Hamlin eliminating is confirmation that we are getting Pride. We would be all in for him if not. I think Hamlin will end up staying home and OSU is #3 in his list. I think he's leery of leaving home and all the DBs coming to ND are pushing him over the edge w/ eliminating us (Distance + competition). Plus ND is the pick for everyone on the crystal balls on 247 now. That many people wont be wrong.

Generally agree. If Hamlin left home I thought it was be for ND. Like Pride and he will be good but a little bummed by Hamlin. Believe ND would have taken both. Fuller may be in play potentially so we will seem

Reports are that we told Hamlin to decide or lose your spot. Pride is getting the last CB spot.

are these "reports" or speculation? I saw speculation that we may have told him that, hence why he is announcing this today. There is also speculation that instead of splitting our recruiting efforts, we are going to go all in on Fuller in hopes that will also help with Kelly. As much as I like Hamlin, I would be totally ok w/ this.

yeah, I always have gotten the feeling that Hamlin wants to stay close to Pittsburg, but didn't like the fact that no one goes to Pitt games unless ND is playing them. Whereas Fuller visited and possibly put us right in his top 2. I'm not sure even if Hamlin had come he ever would've been truly happy.

Pride - McK- Fuller and 2 of the top 3 LB'rs would be incredible! esp if Davis was in there!

(yes, Sal my pipe dream! but he is visiting late in the game!)

More concerned about Harbaugh getting last visit with Jones.
