Recruiting is Phenominal

Georgia - worst season in the last 4 years (finished back half of top 10 in F+ in 2024) beat them in a down year with a frosh QB making his first start
PSU - basically NDs equal (2nd tier in the big10) 50-50 game that could have went either way
OSU - firing on all cylinders, tier 1 talent, tier 1 in production, ran over ND, garbage time by the 3rd quarter

ND was firing on all cylinders in 2024 as well but just don't have the raw material to compete with a team like OSU that has like 15 five star players to NDs 1 five star player on their roster.
Down only eight points with four minutes left is not garbage time fool. We were steadily coming back and that was clear. But then a total tool like you probably could never figure that out

ND was the most injured team in the entire playoffs and still made the Championship. It's because we have top level talent and top level coaches.
"garbage time by the 3rd quarter" did you watch the game? We were in it until the 3 and 11 pass (OSU Fans were s-ing bricks) as we were one score from evening that thing up. So no, dude, you are soooo wrong, like you are about so much.

We were also limping along into the game, against Penn State. The circumstances for a team like that to run so deep are unlikely to be repeated.

Thanks, and yes, It really was a special year. I was at the Penn State win -- that was was one of the best I've seen (I remember watching Howard Cross limp around during warmups, and with Mills gone, I thought WTF, then Knapp goes down, Leonard, I couldn't believe we gutted that one out!) A great one, I've been to a lot of big games! Texas in '78, West Virginia in '89, THE Florida State game in '93, USC '77 when I was a student. I'm ready to win one again!

Interesting note: class of 2028 QB Brady Quinn a top prospect from Florida will visit ND. No relation to the original BQ. Is it meant to be?? I wonder if there is a Matt Leinert floating around out there too who will visit USC..

Ran your mouth a little too soon

There's some recent positive developments going on for sure but we've been down this road before when it comes to recruiting it has nothing to do with how you start and everything to do with how you finish and Notre Dame has not earned the benefit of the doubt to look at it any other way.

I want to see what the class looks like in December hopefully Notre Dame is dominant and there's some open spots to bring on some more potential flips of top level prospects. When that starts happening we can start the early champagne bottle popping

We've finished well since MF has been here. No reason to think it won't continue and improve after playoff run. Not concerned with recruiting at all

In that case, why not hold all your wisdom until December?
