Well, we would have to use the Coaches Poll since it is one of the polls used in the BCS calculations. In the coaches poll, Michigan is behind ND. So if Michigan beats MSU, Michigan jumps us and MSU may still be ranked ahead if the game is close so we would get hit with a double whammy.

they aren t behind them in both polls. the only rankings that matter are the committees. the losers of fla-lsu, mich -mich st.and a&m -bama will all likely be behind nd if they win. natural attrition will occur. nd needs to win out and if they do they'll be smack dab in the middle of it. wouldn't hurt to have Clemson at no more than one loss.

Then had our ass handed to us by Bama because Kelly was too busy interviewing with the Eagles to prepare the team. The only decent team we played was OU and they were a marginal top 20 team. If you want to hang your hat on one lucky season, then the more power to you. You are the same guy that argued with me that 1 loss would not prevent us from getting to the playoffs this season. How is that working out? I was right about that and I have been right about Kelly. 6 years of mediocrity where he single-handedly blows at least one game a year with his bad decisions. Maybe he wins 9 games this year with a Div III like schedule and his "best team ever".

Notre Dame is a 22-1 longshot to win the BCS Title this year. There are close to a dozen teams ahead of us and a few tied. That's a large mountain to climb. imo We not only have to be flawless, but get style points for domination....
southern cal would be an excellent start..... clemson really put us in a hole.....dammit.
