Question for Everyone (Kelly Suppporters and Critics)... If USC blows us out at home

We will see who the moron is. If ND goes 12-1 and wins a major bowl game, I will admit I was wrong about Kelly and never post here again. But if Kelly goes 9-3 or 8-4 with the easy schedule that has been handed him, you must admit you were wrong about him.

Legit question....

If Nick Saban accidently drink engine coolant instead of Gatorade and gets scrambled brains, goes crazy and makes Lane Kiffin the Grand Czar of PoopyTown, then decides to only play 7 players, 2 drummers and a guy in an elephant suit, causing Bama to lose every game....

does Bama put him on the hot seat?

I haven't said anything about Kelly. My criticism has been directed at you and your continuous "sky is falling" posts. ND is now 5-1. Why don't you wait until things play out before infecting everyone with whatever disease it is that you have?

6 years of this. 6!! Yes, I guess I can let it play out.

six years of what ? winning ? a national championship game participant ? we all want nd to win every game but where does that happen every year ? nowhere. how many teams have been undefeated in the last ten years ? not many. nd can play with anyone in the country. the program is on solid ground. they are right in the thick of it and yet some are unhappy. would hate to be you as it seems nothing short of perfection will make you happy. good luck with that.

We are 5-1, DBag. We lost to a top 5 team by two points at their place. Fans like you are impossible to satisfy.
Should have won if we did not run into an 8 man front for 3 quarters and Kelly did not go for 2. Another internet tough guy who calls people names while hiding behind a computer. Go away Schlomo Weinstein.

I've been on this board for more years than I'd like to remember and you're EASILY the most illogical poster I've come across. ANYONE who puts the loss to Clemson solely on the coach has A) never had a helmet on in their life .and B) clearly does not understand the game, its nuances and all the things that go into having success on the field.

If you consider an 8-5 record each year is winning. 2012 was an aberration. really easy schedule and some lucky bounces. We lost at Pitt. Then had our ass handed to us by Bama because Kelly was too busy interviewing with the Eagles to prepare the team. The only decent team we played was OU and they were a marginal top 20 team. If you want to hang your hat on one lucky season, then the more power to you. You are the same guy that argued with me that 1 loss would not prevent us from getting to the playoffs this season. How is that working out? I was right about that and I have been right about Kelly. 6 years of mediocrity where he single-handedly blows at least one game a year with his bad decisions. Maybe he wins 9 games this year with a Div III like schedule and his "best team ever".

how are you right ? the season is only half over. if nd wins out they are in the thick of it. natural attrition will eliminate many of the teams ahead of them as they play each other. you don't see that ? the later you lose the harder it is to get back in it. you want perfection. good luck.

And their are other Pro-Kelly posters who claim we would have won except for the weather. That is real logical. Did not Clemson have to play the game in that weather also? And why do I not understand the game if I question Kelly's play calling that generated 3 points after 3 quarters? Only Pro-Kelly fans understand the game. What a joke.

Who is illogical now. How will be move up 8 or 9 spots even if a miracle happens and the annual Kelly collapse does not occur? We have one lowly ranked team left to play and they may not even be ranked by the time the game comes around.

The joke is your constant bad mouthing of Kelly. As stated, ND is 5-1. We lost to a top five team by two points at their place. ND has done pretty damn well after losing the starting QB, RB, and TE, not to mention Jones, Tranquil, etc.

Yeah, for every game any team loses, you can always find a reason you should have won. Still having a very good season.

comprehension not your strong suit ? look at the schedule. many teams play each other. you act like no one ahead of nd will lose a game. you must have just started following football. history shows that early losses are much better than late ones. if nd runs the table they're right there.

I don't know of anyone saying they lost BECAUSE of the weather. they lost because they turned the ball over 4 times often giving Clemson a short field. the defense kept them in it until the offense got untracked. you rip Kelly for running the ball against Clemson and you ripped him for passing against navy. he could cure cancer and you'd rip him. 5-1 baby and a shot to get to the playoffs if they win out. I'm all in.

In the old system, yes, more so than today but SOS rules. These highly ranked teams that play one another will not drop behind ND. Plus they have a conference championship game they can win. ND has played no one except Clemson and they lost. Comprehension of what other people write only matters if the person writing it is not talking silly.

Yes, I ripped him for running into an 8 man front for 3 quarters against Clemson because it was not working and I ripped him for throwing against a defense which averages 250 lbs on the DL. How many 3 and outs occurred in the 1st quarter? Even Flutie was questioning the play calling and Flutie knows a hell of a lot more than you and Kelly combined. Also, no shot at the playoffs.

ND needs to jump on USC right off the bat. The sooner you do the more likely the Trojans will fold their tent.

If you leave them in the game, they have as much talent as Clemson (possibly more) and if they play their best they are fully capable of winning by two scores.

Yeah, that is another issue. Is Kelly Hexed. Why does his players suffer injuries year after year? Is it just bad luck? No. There is a clear pattern. Kelly must be doing something wrong if it only happens to his teams on such a grand scale.

not true. if ohio state loses in November last year they're out. it's all moot if nd doesn't win out but if they do its foolish to think they won't be in the discussion. just because you prefer to see Kelly fail doesn't make you right.

OSU is only 1 team, but lets use them for discussion purposes. IF OSU loses 1 game, they will still be ranked higher than ND. If they miraculously fall below ND in the polls, they win the Conference Championship game and move ahead of ND in the polls. Even OSU has a stronger schedule than ND which is saying something.

Are you forgetting that it took Oregon and Kansas State being upset for an undefeated ND team to move into position in '12? Thank you Stanford and Baylor. Had Or/ksu held form an undefeated ND team was out....

We may not be out right now, but Vegas has us at over 22-1. We're in long shot territory....

We need a convincing win over southern cal.... kelly needs to dial one up big time....

what if that one loss occurs in the big ten championship game to a 2 loss iowa say. way too many scenarios to say at this point of the season nd is out of it if they run the table.

I agree that nd needs some help. first and foremost they have to win out. there will be a lot of attrition due to scheduling and a one loss nd team is a big draw . I can see a one loss nd team beating out a one loss big 12 or acc team even with a conference championship.

What are your credentials, may I ask? What is your medical background for declaring that Kelly is causing players to be injured?

Remember, we were ranked 5th or 6th When Oregon and K. State were upset. We may only be ranked 9th or 10th so we are not going to jump those teams. Plus a convincing win over USC is not going to have much bearing since they have lost 2 games and their head coach is in rehab.

Too many variables but everything would have to fall perfectly into place. It is a huge longshot to say the least.

how do you know that ? you completely dismiss the possibility of other teams losing. nd wins this week they immediately jump either Michigan or mich st. that's just one game.

I agree they need help but hardly a huge longshot. they can easily be in the top ten by the end of the month.

He "knows" it because he has a black cloud over his head. He hopes for every bad thing to befall ND. His hatred of Kelly makes him hope that ND fails time and time again.

We were # 3 in week 12 ( BCS, AP, Coaches). #4 BCS in week 11, # 3 BCS in week 10....

PS I thought we were lower too....

Well, we would have to use the Coaches Poll since it is one of the polls used in the BCS calculations. In the coaches poll, Michigan is behind ND. So if Michigan beats MSU, Michigan jumps us and MSU may still be ranked ahead if the game is close so we would get hit with a double whammy.

The polls don't count any more. After the first committee ranking, the polls will rearrange themselves to reflect the committee's view.

With FL vs. LSU and Bama vs. Tx A&M.....ND could be in the top 10 after this weekend with a solid win against the Trojans. Wayyyy too many teams in the top 10 that play one another still yet to dismiss the Irish....just keep winning and it will play out like its supposed to.

Bingo. That's what is so miserable about the clemson loss. Those guys were ripe to be beaten. They played about where I expected. The clemson fans that suggest they took the foot of the gas are full of it. There was no gas only ND pumping life into them.... We dropped a huge opportunity and need major league help..... I am glad it is no longer 2 teams... We are breathing, but on life support. A massive beat down on southern cal would be a great start to the second 1/2..... PS Jahleel pinner their fb is a massive wimp. It will be a reunion out there for him, tre Madden and Max..... I hope Max gives both of them concussions....

Geez. Do you even follow the game? Coaches poll is not part of the equation. Incredibly misinformed statement.
