0-2 or 0-4 is the only way Kelly doesnt finish the year. However with an inexp qb and Kelly that may happen.

That post was before Jack made the call to keep Kelly. I was totally wrong about Jack. I thought he would have the balls to admit he was wrong for giving BK an extension last season. Jack has put his job on the line by standing by BK.
What is Jack's job? If he is not looking out for the futre of ND football what is his job? Nobody can say Kelly is what's best for the future of ND football and so why is he coming back for another 4-8 season? Incompetence.

He needs to get Power 5 experience. They are even calling for a non power 5 playoff now because of the talent disparity.

Fleck is and up and comer no doubt... It is seriously troubling however after the failures of David, Ty, and Charlie that people are clamoring for an inexperienced head coach. Let the guy earn his stripes. There are some on this board that thought Diaco could be a Kelly successor... but he didn't exactly light the world on fire... Fleck is the bell of the ball right now but let him show it in a real conference before anointing him.
You seem to think football is the only sport at Notre Dame. Jack has to oversee the whole athletic program.

I thought his job was being the Athletic Director -- directing ALL of ND's athletics -- which includes, among other sports besides Football....Basketball (men's/women's), Baseball, Hockey, Soccer....the list goes on!
were the AD' at tOSU, UM, USC, LSU, Oregon,... all too busy to act in interests of their football programs?

Football brings in 10x more $ than all other sports put together. If football fails all other sports mean nothing.
Fleck goes to Min. One less future ND coaching candidate to worry about. Schiano still out there when Kelly implodes.
