The most recurring complaint we've received about how we've run the board over the last 16 months has been our decision to make news stories into sticky threads for the first 24-48 hours.
So I'm finally caving and will give you all a chance at what you want. Indefinitely, we will not make our news stories into pinned threads (the actual name is sticky threads, but I don't like that name either).
Pinned threads will be reserved for announcements and items that are constantly updated like the running visitors lists, depth chart, scholarship chart, transfer tracker, etc.
However, if we don't see an uptick in engagement with those story threads that were previously pinned, we're likely to revert back to the old system. So please, if you prefer the unpinned threads, make sure your eyeballs are counted and your voices are heard by reading and commenting in those threads.
