I'm just as frustrated with these last minute, 1 possession, and now even 1 point losses. I'm frustrated with the lack of offensive variety, slow developing run plays, along with the slow developing pass plays. MIX IT UP against an aggressive front 7! Kelly is in year 8, figure it out! The D has played lightyears better than last year.

Onto why I named this thread "perspective".

Over the course of the rest of the season, we have more talent and ability to beat anyone, with the exception being USC. That would be another marquee "are we even close / there yet / back" game. Then Stanford at the back end of the season.

So if I recall, another Midwest team dropped game 2 against a much less talented opponent (Va. Tech), and then rebounded and thrashed their entire schedule and won the playoff. Of course I'm speaking of OSU and Urban Meyer.

I'm not saying that we will do the same, but I'm not on doomsday prep like some people on this board. ND could still come out 10-2 / 11-1 if the defense keeps progressing nicely and BW / Offense gets clicking.

I came into this season expecting a 8-4 / 9-3 improvement. Anything more is a positive, anything less is a letdown.

Can you guys step away from the ledge, and realize that there are still 10 more games to be played? Wouldn't you rather enjoy them, than fight amongst each other?

Somewhat rant over.

Go Irish. Beat BC!

Two choices, optimistic or pessimistic. Which one makes you feel better?

@twalsh just trying to spin some positives onto this board that is going up in flames right now.

People are making valid posts both optimistic and pessimistic... but realistically it's only week 3 and by no means does this team look like the 4-8 product that was put on the field last year.

I'm just trying to stay grounded and positive, there was a lot of good to take away from the GA game, but everyone focuses on the bad. I'm not predicting a "Bodi-esque" rest of the season, but I am OPTIMISTIC about this team going forward. No reason to trash every aspect of the program for 4 days straight.

Don't be so dramatic. Kelly sucks. That's all. If they make a bowl I'd be semi-surprised at this point. There is no positive mojo within this program right now. Things can get better with new leadership.

@TOMMY_23 If you're calling these posts dramatic... I know you've seen the other posts. What're you calling those? Titanic is sinking dramatic?

There is plenty positive about this team. It's only 2 games into the season, and the team isn't in flames falling apart as this board acts.
