Suspect we hearing nothing out of ND, but hope this gains some attention and raises concern among the BOT.

Good. I thought someone said this was dead yesterday? Apparently nobody told the Observer. Swarbrick deserves to have his feet held to the fire Forget w-l record, Kelly's teams have had Too many off the field character issues to have extended him for six more years!

While I think Swarbrick screwed up big time by extending Kelly, I do wonder if it is his decision to keep Kelly or if he's been told they aren't spending the money to terminate the contract.

Also, well done on the Ad!

Spot on. RKG's right ? How come Stanford doesn't have these same issues or have kids that want to transfer out as much as ND does ?

How come Stanford with lower rated recruiting classes has beat us 5 out of 7 years ?

Smarter, Faster, Bigger, Stronger .....all around better coaching.

Probably both - Jack does not want any comparisons with Kevin White and the powers that be realized that having to pay BK $22 million to not be the coach and then having to spend another who knows what on the next coach was just too much $$ to waste by letting BK go.

It's all about $$$. Jack made a colossal mistake with that 6 year extension and no one is holding him accountable.

Birks, I wrote yesterday that this effort was dead as I received an e-mail from the person who was lead on this effort apologizing for dropping this over concerns with go fund me issues, and then I received a notice from go fund me refunding my donation to this effort. CGVR said the effort was going forward as money was not an issue, but projected this 60-90 days out, so pleasantly suprised to see the ad in today's paper.

Jack does not know the drill: blame the players! blame the fans! blame the media....

Ah, got it. I don't know if you or CGVR is in on that effort, but I know you'll be called every name in the book if you are. However, in my opinion, I like the fact that they took some action. Nothing hurts the program more than leadership with poor character and mediocre ability. Young student athletes should not be expected to uphold higher standards than their leaders.

Posted in a college newspaper? It'll have no effect. Love or hate Jack and BK, but they're professionals and we have to assume they're able to stay focused on the challenging task at hand.

This no more than a disgruntled groups of "fans" trying to make noise, even though the important people (ND Decision Makers) couldn't care less what they think.

Wrong again....

The situation fortunately got more fluid as the day progressed...

It's amazing how National Media grabbed hold/// Good job Telx. This was a needed kick in the ND Admin groin.

There could be an inside play which delays things a bit, but it looks like there will be an "end around" it.

That's a total projection by me/guesstimate. It could be totally wrong, but I am guessing that they'll want to run it while the campus is in full swing. The $ are there....time is short...still a window for now...

Rest assured opposing coaches will find some use for it when meeting with recruits. Way to go students.

I read some of the comments from non notre dame fans. basically criticizing irish fans and the ad

Yea, because other programs are too stupid to figure all of that out and develop their own presentation.

Not sure what kind of effect it ultimately brings forth? I'm sure it will not get past some important eyes!

I still remember eyeing the 2009 Billboard from Weis's last season, which was followed at the end of the season by the Kelly hire.

Maybe this supportive effort will help another lure another high profile coach to ND.

Well, that was a waste of money. Kelly is coming back next year and this "ad" won't do anything to stop it. Next year the stands will be full like always and nobody will even remember this "ad".

They'll remember back-to-back losing seasons. ND football fans are lame. They fill up the football stadium to watch a garbage product, but can't show up to a men's basketball game. Brey has the best team on campus and he actually gets results.

Wrong. More to come.... It is in every person from the top down's head.
Stanford....other stuff... has made some of their noggins implode, but keep typing about things you know nothing about. You're in good company
