If reporters don't understand and appreciate the logistic differences of responding to Puerto Rico as compared to Houston, then I see nothing wrong with the President explaining it in elementary school level terms.

It does sound funny as hell on first take. Can't stand her, but not sure she was wrong in what she was saying. I think the DMZ is close to three miles across its entire length.
The DMZ on the 38th Parallel is 4km (2.5 miles) wide. North Korean border, 2.5 mile "neutral" gap. South Korean border...

Rather than cite a whole list of things, I'll just mention a current one: proposed tax reform. Your boys on Fox and other outlets will tell you it will help the middle and working classes -- not! --and I highly doubt they will be the least concerned about its impact on the national debt, just as they stood by silently when Reagan and Bush II both ran up huge deficits.
