POTUS says he is willing to go under oath to discuss Comey. Was it a PR ploy, or should Congress invite him to put his hand on a Bible, raise his right hand, and swear to tell his truth and nothing but his truth?

I say let him do it.

Hey, This is a football board not a MSNBC board, Go over to the Michigan board and discuss this krap...

utter waste of time. If he tells truth we get "He's lying!". If he lies we get "Witchhunt", and "fake news". I would call his bluff on this and any tapes he claims to have

Comrade Trumpsky is a lying traitor and has no shame. Put him on trial for treason then he can testify with his miserable life on the line.

He also said he would release his taxes. The former Deputy Attorney General under Bush and head of the FBI got it so very right. The guy is a liar. L.I.A.R.

But I'd love to see him testify. I would absolutely love to see that.

By the way -- why hasn't the President of the United States said one word about the unacceptability of the Russian influencing our democracy. Somewhere Thomas Jefferson -- whose greatest fear was Britain doing that very thing -- is thinking... what is my country smoking electing that fool?!

More ass commentary from liberals who parade as posters of ND football and then bash our President

The guy has done more positive things in 3 months than President Obama did in 8 years -- unless you include his pardoning and sentence commuting of 1300 hard criminals and sainthood for that pos traitor Manning

Our separation of powers would suggest it is totally inappropriate for Congress to demand a sitting President give sworn testimony on an Executive matter. The Dems might beat this drum just to keep Trump on the defensive, but this is not a serious possibility. Giving his sworn deposition to the Special Counsel has the same affect without the political drama, and that will happen. Since it's a he said he said situation with no third part to collaborate, it's all a waste of time, and keeps the country's best interest off the table as the Dems play their resist playbook.

I've seen this a lot but are the tangible benefits of the "positive things"?

Better yet, since you libtards look so foolish now after last Thursday, let's have Loretta Lynch sit before congress. She has some splaining to do.

You just employed a logical fallacy "tu quoque" - an accusation met with a counter-accusation pivoting away from the original criticism. It is a hallmark of Soviet propaganda and used by Putin in Interview with Megyn Kelly. Also called "whataboutism." WSJ had a good column about it. You should read it and learn how you've become a Soviet pawn.

Dumpster fire. Embarrassing time to be an American. This guy is total joke. As a businessman, as a tv personality and, I hate to even say it, as our president.

Do you guys still love that Pinto you bought in 1974?

Donald Trump is well on his way to spending more on travel in a year than Obama did during his eight years as president.

While the cost of individual trips may vary, the news outlet estimated that the six weekends (21 days, in total) Trump has spent at his Mar-A-Lago estate in Florida since becoming president added up to roughly $21.6 million.

With eight more months to go until the end of 2017, Trump could reach or surpass what Obama spent on travel in eight years by December.

At this point in their presidencies Bush, Clinton and Obama played golf ZERO times. Trump = 16 times. Hypocrite AND liar said in one of hi tweets: President @BarackObama's vacation is costing taxpayers millions of dollars----Unbelievable!

Talking about testifying: Trump's lawyer is Mr. Kasowitz’s.

Mr. Kasowitz' other clients — Sberbank, the largest state-owned bank in Russia, on which the Obama administration imposed sanctions, and Oleg Deripaska, a Russian tycoon who is close to President Vladimir V. Putin and had business dealings with Paul Manafort, once Mr. Trump’s campaign chairman.

Everything keeps coming up Russia. When will my fellow Americans who made an honest mistake when they voted for this guy -- realize that Trump was lying to them?

Do you mean like you can keep your doctor if you want your doctor?

Or,

President Obama intel agency secretly conducted illegal searches on Americans for years, and denying it?

Do you think Israel will look into special counsel on the Americans interfering/colluding with their election?

WSJ... LATimes... NPR... CNN. (and even sometimes, although less and less these days because they refuse to report the story, Fox)

DIP -- I know we respectfully disagree, but are you really happy with the direction this President and Paul Ryan are taking our country? Throwing 25 million off of health care without even having a hearing on their new bill, cutting medicaid, cutting 1/4 of the budget for food stamps which mostly benefits kids and older adults, denying climate change, unleashing the forces that gave us the 2007 bank crisis by overturning Dodd Frank, relinquishing our leadership role in the world by hitching our wagon to the Russians and the Saudis? Allowing China and India to take the lead in alternative power and relinquishing all of those jobs? Allowing Russian spies into the oval office and only allowing Russian press to report it? Doing his own business -- failing to cut his business ties while he has the most important job in the world -- not the business of the USA.

For him, it is not about America, it is about Trump and Trump alone. He lost me when he said about John McCain: “He’s not a war hero. He was a war hero because he was captured. I like people who weren’t captured.” And this from a guy who dodged the draft! Or when he attacked a Gold Star family. This weekend, he made no comment when informed that we lost three soldiers in Afghanistan. It took hours before a press agent with him at this golf course made a statement. Still silence.

Sorry my friend, but Ryan's 'he's new to this' defense doesn't work for me. It wouldn't work for a plumber I hired, for a doctor who was repairing my heart or for a guy coaching of the Irish football team!

Time for him to go away.

Old news... Obama is no longer the president..

Just read an interesting article rating our presidents by a historians on cspan. Guess who came in at #12 only three behind Reagan at #9.

That is right... President Barrack Obama is #12

the 350K that Obama sent to Israel was in 2014 -- the money stopped flowing in 2014, before elections were called in Israel. And of that 350K, a third went to the Palestinians who aren't allowed to vote in Israeli elections... So we are talking about 200K which was supposed to go to promote a two-state solution.

But the fact remains the money was sent BEFORE there was even an election.

Stu, any survey of this sort is terribly flawed until the impact over time is in play. Rating Obama three ranks above Clinton for example, seems ridiculous on its surface. Obama will ultimately be judged by history on his policies lasting impact; and using universal healthcare, for example, that story is far from being complete. My judgement is history will not be kind to Obama, but we need to wait and see.

I want you to read Rules for Radicals by your idol Saul Alinsky. What am I thinking?! You've read that about three times by now.

BTW, what accusation? I didn't see one. That's for Trump to decide. You're just all about obstructing his administration and praying he fails. You're not a true American.

I'd believe Trump over a loser leaker that is Comey.

I'd believe someone who served under three administrations rather than someone who publicly suggested that Ted Cruz's dad was part of a conspiracy to assassinate Kennedy.

The guy may be an "outsider" (whatever that means). He may have been successful in business. But he's not an honest guy. I'm surprised at how many people are willingly following every word he says and tossing aside the statements of anyone else. Maybe you had the same view toward Democrats who hung on every last word that Obama said. I don't get it.

Don

You continue to show your shallowness. I candidly am stumped as to why you have fallen into the trap other liberals so avidly embrace

Why am I stumped?

Not because of Trump or Obama policies

But because:
1 I thought I got to know you and thought you were an intelligent alum of ND and teacher at SC
2 I never would have picked you to post personal political agendas on this ND football board
3 I just am so disappointed that you have shown this nasty side of yourself.
4 by the way. Your "must read" media list is a joke. Not me. Anyone who watched the Comey hearings and then watched your media would see how they distorted Comeys testimony. Your media has fallen so far into untruths they have less cred than any profession
5 our mutual friend Coach Ditka would have no patience for your snowflake rants

All very sad that posters on this board are ready to kill one another because a few chose to disrespect our Presidebt. I despised President Obama but I did not tolerate any criticism of him that was disparaging and untrue. Your name calling of Pres Trump is small and your facts are wrong

Stu first off. I do have a great deal of respect for you and your opinion

President Trump has not been given his fair break in order for me to really get an honest opinion of what's going on with his policies.
I find it hard for me to develop an opinion when there has been nothing but road blocks thrown in front of him.
He could very well be a terrible president but at this time it's hard to make a fair Assumption of what's going on.
Instead I find myself spending more time educating people on the Constitution and figuring out why it was okay for the previous president to get away with everything possible but president Trump not the slightest.
President Obama was an excellent speaker
He had a way of making people believe what he was doing was right when in fact it was wrong and we can say the health care first of all.
President Trump wouldn't be thrown anybody off of any Health Care Program if the Democrats wouldn't rammed anything through knowing it was a failed policy.

He did not deny climate change but what he did do was denied giving the world International welfare the tune of three billion dollars.
You not really believe Indiana in China are going to be the FrontRunner of green energy do you.
They have plans to build even more coal plants without the Clean Coal structure to it.
I have no problem with all these cities wanting to maintain the idea of green energy and moving forward with that but we do not need to give our tax dollars to countries that do not play the same game.
Dodd-Frank is part of the problem plain and simple.
Forcing financial institutions to give people money for houses that they know they could not afford is not smart but the government force them.
You might be careful about using the word spy after what has just been revealed about the Obama Administration and the NSA. He gave Russia nothing that they already didn't have after they tapped the Hillary server
What he said about John McCain was uncalled for but that Gold Star Family brought it upon themselves when they entered the political Arena.
You might want to look into the khans history with the Clintons in their Foundation, and his ties to Saudi Arabia of all places of your criticism.
Do you believe President Obama referenced each and every American soldier that was killed underneath his watch?
Hell he lied about the Benghazi situation with their videos story

As far as Russian collusion there is NO proof. This is almost as bad as the Jumbotron threads in regards to beating a dead horse

In regards to Trump's business overseas and in the country there has never been a president like this there for we are walking on new ground and of course things will need to be situated

This country is broke. We cannot afford extravagant entitlements like we have been things have got to be done smarter.
We have gotten ourselves the situation through the previous president and the president's before him.

We got through the Obama years though the assessment has yet to be made we will get through this.

If you think electing Hillary Clinton over Donald Trump then you would be the moron

Maybe it would take for one of your loved ones to be killed and then their murder blame a fictitious video before you understand the corruptness that permeates her.

You speak of Soviets in Russia and yet you know nothing.
The kind of government she would run would be more corrupt that president Obama's NSA program.

Even that socialist Bernie Sanders says the Democratic Party has no message and are losing people by the droves.

There were no good choices this past election but the better choice is president

With respect Tex, I'll go with the historians on this one. But you are right, people do slide up and down on these lists, but usually only a few spots. I also think his proximity to one of the worst presidents in history makes him look good too.

DIP, guess I'm a moron then. I'm also am moron enough to have voted against the guy who was off on one of his many vacations when a bunch of Saudis flew two planes into the twin towers and another into the pentagon killing over 2000, including some friends. HRC would have been a solid president. Just like Obama was a good one. Bush was a joke and Trump is... well, I have no words for his bumbling, lying, Russian sniffing, selfish, mockery of a presidency. Just embarrassing and sad. What an example for our children and grandchildren! Grab 'em by the pussy.

But, I'm a moron.

Stu, just curious, can you name a couple Republicans from the primaries that you think would have been "a solid president" as you describe Hillary? Not just better than Trump in your eyes, but a solid President.

Kasich.

Look -- Hillary was two time senator in New York. She won handily the first time 55 to 38. Seeking reelection she won by the second biggest margin in NY State Senate history winning by a two-to-one margin, nearly 70% of New Yorkers voted for Hillary.

New Yorkers are hard to fool and harder to please.

In last fall's Presidential Election she won New York in a landslide crushing New Yorker Donald Trump 59 to 36%. New Yorkers knew both of them and went overwhelmingly for the more competent candidate.

She did her job and did it well. New Yorkers twice rewarded her for her hard work. You may disagree with her policies but she is a smart lady with a lot of experience.

Trump has always been an incompetent blowhard and his presidency is just a reflection of that.
