OT Rock has lost a Legend

Sturgill is my favorite... should be a good tour. You play a lot of shows? Band or acoustic type stuff?

Both, mainly acoustic around Charleston and southern WV for now. I've gotten a huge response and I'm starting to get calls to do gigs now instead of having to promote myself, which I still do a lot though (as you can tell lol)

Stay humble stay hungry is my thing and it's starting to pay off. Just getting started though.

Turtles all the way down is my favorite Sturg song!

Yes, those below your brow seem to love it.

Why does one "like" my posts whilst simultaneously disparage its contents?

This is a great source of confusion to me and impedes me from accurately tracking my board statistics. I shall ask that you cease in such conduct.

Thank you in advance for your compliance.

You track stats on a free message board? Yikes

I don't think you have an accurate handle on the transpiring of events.

Let me summarize:

I was partaking in an interesting and productive line of discourse with others regarding the financial viability of the women's basketball program when an at that point otherwise uninterested party @Catholicfan95 decided to report me to board moderators on the matter out of personal spite for past grievances.

In order to point out the hypocrisy of his actions and at that point knowing full well the moderators would take no action towards his personal attack on me (which also strayed from the subject--the very reason for my "warning" last night) to preemptively point out their hypocrisy as well, and in also the process of mocking his actions from the night prior, I reported his post to the moderator.

That you to believe him calling me an "idiot" did an actual harm to me emotionally to the point I would report him to moderators absent of any false pretenses brings me much amusement however.

The matter bothered me only to the extent that the warning occurred at a point in time I found myself in the dark administering to my six month old her last bottle of the day and I therefore found myself devoid of any other preferable activity at the time given I was only to be in the room for an additional 15-20 minutes.

Sorry to have disappointed you in your perceptions on how I took the matter.

OK, @deadprez3, while I may regret this, I will engage you in a serious response.

First, if you in fact have a 6-month old daughter—you would have to be truly warped to lie about that—let me congratulate you. There is no higher calling, and indeed no greater responsibility in life, than raising a child. I wish you and your spouse success in the many challenges that lie ahead of you. There will be moments of worry and consternation, and perhaps an occasional moment of disappointment, but those days will be offset tenfold by moments of joy.

But if you have a daughter, then for her sake I would ask you to look inside yourself and just stop the nonsense you perpetrate on this board, and stop it now. You seem to be a bright guy. You are able to articulate your thoughts in a well-spoken and logical fashion. Instead of trolling other posters--and in many instances demeaning them in a mean-spirited way--why not join the discussion on this board in a more productive way? Is that too much to ask? That doesn’t mean you have to agree with everyone, or that you shouldn’t present your opinions vigorously and then stand behind them, but quit with the pompous, arrogant and condescending self-amusement. While it may amuse you, I assure you it doesn’t amuse anyone else. There are a number of posters here that are brash and outspoken; @88ND comes to mind. But most of us (or at least many of us) enjoy the banter with him because we know his opinions, however misguided they may seem to the rest of us from time to time, are opinions genuinely held. With you, it is all just a game. And it has become a tiresome game.

Make your daughter grow up to be proud of her father. Don’t leave her rolling her eyes and cringing in the corner whenever daddy gets up to speak.

I have taken a few shots at you. But I hope you will accept the suggestions made here in the earnest manner in which they are intended.

Thats awesome.... well only a few years ago I seen Tyler playing in a bar in Louisville in front of maybe 200..... than a bar in Dallas in front of a thousand+, last year in a Casino in front of more.... and this year I have tickets to see him and Sturgill in Dallas, Chicago, and Portland playing in arenas! Crazy how fast he blew up.
I went to an Aaron Lewis show a month or so ago and Chris Stapleton just walked on stage and did a few songs with him.
Very interesting cat

Aaron's been known to walk off stage, cuss at fans and demand complete silence when he plays. Did you see any of that?

His new album was awesome! I loved "it keeps on working"

33 times! They are the last one I need to see to complete the Big 4 of Thrash. I used to be an Aaron Lewis fan when he went country... but his constant complain was annoying... especially after he botched the National Anthem (he had previously trashed a singer for doing the same thing).

33 times?!!!!!! DIP, that is just insane. I've heard of some of Jimmy Buffett's fans (aka, the Parrotheads) attending crazy numbers of his concerts (I seem to recall a Parrothead interviewed on a 60 Minute segment about Buffett who had been to 150+ concerts), but I don't remember hearing of someone attending that many concerts of a heavy metal band. I imagine there are likely some Black Sabbath or AC/DC fans who've attended crazy numbers of their concerts.

P.S. I was feeling a little old after I read your post. I had never heard of Megadeth and had to go on YouTube to check them out. But in my old age I've become more of a jazz/blues/classical music guy anyway.

Since we are on the subject of music, just saw the 2020 class inductees for the Rock & Roll HOF. WTH. Whitney Houston? Notorious BIG?

In the late 60s and 70s, there was a concert club in NW Indiana that was only open on Sundays. It was called The Wild Goose and was operated by a WLS DJ by the name of Dex Card. The concert hall was actually a big banquet hall located on a golf course with a nice big stage.Cost a couple bucks to get in. Get a load of these artists who performed there. Paul Revere and the Raiders, Ted Nugent/Amboy Dukes, Brownsville Station, Chase, Rufus with Chaka Kahn, Vanity Fair, Buckinghams, New Colony Six, Mason Profit, Alice Cooper, Black Oak Arkansas, Ides of March, Bloodrock, Styx. And those are the acts that I can remember. Till this day, when I pass the old banquet hall, it brings back a lot of great high school memories.

Lol no but Deg Leppard (4 times) were great show for me.
Between them and Bon Jovi(3 times) not sure which one atteacted the most girls to there show but it only helped the environment.

Maiden was an excellent show as well. Great stage presents.
When i first seen them with Paul Di'Anno as the front man they were good, but when i seen them with Bruce Dickinson they became a super group then
