I read somewhere it was his adopted son which idk is true and would make no sense... also, back when the whole situation happened I remember feeling bad for his children who had to live with the embarrassment of having a name ruined forever. Not anymore! These creeps boggle my mind! Why would someone want anything to do with a CHILD!?

Sadly abused kids become abusers themselves often, not an excuse but part of the cycle of abuse. Bring blood-related doesn't really matter, it's nurture not nature.

This is exactly on point. Don't know current stats, but when involved with issues of pedophiles many years ago, the vast majority (80 % or so) had been victims of sex crimes as kids themselves. That's why it is so critical for young victims to get professional help, and not hide in the closet about the abuse they suffered, something not easily accomplished when the adult abuser is usually a family member, not to mention people in positions of trust like teachers and priests, etc... don't know the facts, but would be amazed if Jerry hadn't sexually abused his adopted son. What is especially repulsive to those who work in this field, is the sick protective rationale of many wives who know their husband has sexually abused their son or daughter.
