In honor of the baseball season starting next season, I have linked FANGRAPHS projection of how each MLB team will finish the season. They list the projected won loss record for each team, where they will finish in their respective division and give odds for each team of making the playoffs.

I note that they have the Cubs finishing 79-83 and finishing behind the Brewers and Cardinals in the NL Central, with odds to make the playoffs of only 22.6%

The White Sox are projected to finish 89-73 and winning the AL Central, with odds of making the playoffs at 64.4%.

Of course these White Sox projections were made before news of the season ending injury to young slugger Eloy Jimenez.

I personally think that they Cubs will do better than 79-83. While not a dominate starting rotation, I think they will be able to send out a decent MLB starter every 5th day. I still have concerns over Kimbrel as the closer - I have visions of a number of blown saves.

I am also somewhat surprised that they only project one team in the American League to have 90+ wins - the Yankees. They project three such teams in the National League - Dodgers, Mets and Padres.
