is that the team can pull itself out. An impressive win at (shorthanded) Duke is offset by an inexcusable loss at home to Pitt. With 6 road games and home games vs Louisville and UNC among the final 13 games, a .500 record (plus or minus a game) seems likely. Hopefully I am wrong.

Let's be honest. The odds of them making the big dance are still pretty slim. Your original post several days ago is likely going to be correct. We're all pulling for Brey. I believe in him, unlike loser Kelly.

After last year, I would not bet against Brey. the Irish will make the NCAA. The offense is now adjusted. Since Boston College. The defense has issues, but we had them last year. This team has the capacity to lift it up another gear. It is great that the two freshmen are getting a lot of playing time now. Auguste is playing so-so, but if that pick n' roll action improves he could click in. It is agreed that the real test is against the ACC quality teams. From what I've seen, North Carolina might be the best team in the country. I don't know that we can play with them. But Clemson, Miami, Louisville, those will be the real tests.

Looks like I will have been off by 1 game when Brey finishes 2 games over .500 after dispatching NCSt later today. And, he'll finish with a 20-win regular season record (with at least 95 other teams) and an NCAA invitation. All in all yet another spectacular year for the most over-achieving coach in America.

I hope that last sentence is a joke that I'm not getting.

We're in pretty good shape for the tournament at this point, with a 20-10 record (11-7 ACC). After today's game, the commentator thought we'd be in line for about an 8 seed.

Ever heard that age old saying 'you are what you eat'

So do you chew on the bag of dicks you eat? Or just swallow them whole?
