Oklahoma, Clemson, Alabama, Iowa

You mean like beating Northwestern 40-10 on the road, a team that beat Stanford which ND is pinning its hopes on as their only real signature win of the season if it happens?
Northwestern is inside the top 20 and Stanford is going to be inside the top 10 Tuesday. What are you trying to say? Other than being a troll you look uninformed.

Thats one game but lets look at who ND will have beaten and who OU will have beaten:
ND: Stanford, Navy, Temple, Pitt, USC
OU: Baylor, OSU, TCU, WVU, Texas Tech, Tennessee

The best win ND can hope for is over a 3 loss Stanford. Yes, Navy has had a decent year but hanging your playoff hopes on Navy is really a huge stretch. Its not even close who has the more impressive wins.
WVU? Texas Tech? Haha haha. You're not a big follower of college football I see. Just look up ND's SOS and your argument is dead.

Navy would beat Baylor, OSU, TCU -- they don't play defense and Navy would just eat them up. Grind it out and control the ball and the clock.

I guarantee you Baylor has a better running game than Navy and OSU probably does too. What team that Navy has beaten shouts they are a top 15 team? Colgate, East Carolina, UCONN, Air Force, Tulane, Memphis, SMU or Tulsa?

Also, Texas Tech and WVU would probably beat Navy, Temple and I would say USC would probably be a toss up this year as well.

OSU nor Baylor is the equal or better than the Navy run game. That is just silly and uninformed.

You can argue about the schedule but the Mavybteam has one and deserves their ranking.

Someone posted Iowa has no quality wins or something to the effect they have not beat anyone.
I'm saying Northwestern and Stanford both have 2 losses and Northwestern beat Stanford this year. Iowa beating Northwestern 40-10 who beat Stanford who is the team ND is hoping to hang their hat on as their signature win this year, besides a couple of G5 victories. I think Iowa pasting Northwestern 40-10 on the road makes that relevant.

Iowa also has road victory vs Wisconsin. If Iowa gets in they will have beaten a 1 loss MSU, 1 loss OSU or 2 loss Michigan also. Anybody they would beat in the B1G CCG is probably a better win than Stanford.

I understand this is subjective but you guys are very misinformed if you think ND is guaranteed a spot of they win. Of the 23 computer polls only 5 have them in the top 4 and compositely Oklahoma is ahead of them. A win over oklahoma state looks no worse than a win over Stanford too.
Computer polls mean nothing. Committee of 12 decide based on their criteria.

what collapse ? bc did nothing to stop nd last night. nd was its own worst enemy. uncharacteristic poor decisions by the qb. multiple fumbles by players who have proven to be reliable all year and bad drops by one of the best receivers in America. a sloppy game for sure but wins are what matter most an thankfully coaches and players don't have the luxury to dwell on them. leave that to the segment of fans who despite the victory, the 10-1 record and the very real possibility of making the 4 team playoff would prefer to focus on all the negative things and can't seem to enjoy the season and how it's playing out.
Yes you've identified everything that signifies a bad team, not a playoff team. Bonehead

Should be the top 4 teams. Notre Dame drops after a second game of crap in a row. There's no way this team will beat Stanford next week
Lets see douchebag:

ND vs. Michigan State (ND has crushed four out of the last five years under kelly, only win for MSU was a on a fake field goal in OT.)

ND. vs. Oklahoma: kelly's team 30 (Freshman QB) Stoops 12 (he-he-he)

Alabama -- got us there, but that was the best college football team of the last ten years.

Clemson vs. ND: Clemson beat us in a monsoon, with four turnovers on our part and guess what we still had a chance to send it to OT. Give Clemson credit, they used the weather as a 12th defender -- I'd love another shot at these guys.

Are we afraid of anyone? Right now, I'm afraid of a damn good Stanford team in a Pac 10 with a chip on its shoulder. No, ND is not afraid of anyone and we can play with any of these four teams. We also whipped Navy who would beat several teams in the top ten.

So eat it Smellyguy.

During their excellent seasons, Navy and Temple have both whipped Memphis. That's the same Memphis team that soundly defeated Ole Miss, the 3rd-best team in the SEC and 19th-ranked team in the country.

if you count the controversial loss you have to consider a fluke victory where Michigan handled them all game. can't have it both ways.

Yeah the end of the game was a fluke, but MSU outgained Michigan 380 to 230 had 20 first downs to Michigans 10 and had more time of possession. Michigan was also awarded a TD on 3rd down earlier in the game when progress appreared to be stopped. I wouldn't say Michigan handled them all game. MSU had a key drop inside the 20 in stride earlier in the 4th quarter as well. MSU has been living on borrowed time in a lot of the games though, they could have 3 or 4 losses, but according to the rankings, they have the best resume of victories in the country and one of the worst losses. It will be real interesting where the committee puts them.

Iowa needs to be careful playing Nebraska------very careful .

They do, Nebraska has a bowl bid on the line and enough athletes to win that game. I think Iowa survives a scare, but I could see Nebraska taking them down.

If ND can beat Stanford, and I think that got a lot tougher with Prosise and Russell being out, they may not have to worry about Oklahoma or Iowa. Very possible that OSU (cowboys) and Nebraska take care of those teams on Saturday.

no it signified a bad GAME. 10-1 signifies a very good team and a very real chance at being a playoff team. clown
What do you got to say now clown? I told you since the beginning of the season of one lost Notre Dame team would not get in but you wanted to argue and argue now who's the jackass. Know it all fool

is it over ? still two more polls to go. lot's can and will likely happen. look no further than last year. jeff long himself said last night there were multiple votes taken on the teams ranked 3-6. there was no solid conclusions other than the top 2. but keep patting your moronic self on the back.

I will keep patting myself on the back cuz I was correct that a one lost ND team wouldn't get in and I correctly picked the top 4 teams the committee would choose this week
