Ohio State's Cardale Jones said 'I feel sorry for Notre Dame'

So the solution is to use hindsight to argue ND letting UM go is the reason we are hear? No prof UM stays at ND and doesn't just use ND to get to Ohio St.
Maybe not, but we would not have had to endure the Davie, Willingam an O'Leary fiasco. Because of this, Kelly, no matter what idiotic endeavors he pursues, is the poster boy for the argument "Its better than what we had". It has lead to the acceptance of mediocrity.

That's predicated on a huge internal assumption that UM was ready for ND and would have succeeded. History tells us UM has been a winner everywhere he goes but he was also able to follow a natural progression from Bowling Green to Ohio St.

Sal, I usually enjoy your posts but this board is full of self righteous, pom-pom waving idiots.

They also had a chance to hire him after Bowling Green but refused to work with him whatsoever on a couple of academic exceptions each year. One of the biggest blunders in CFB history. ND probably would have won a couple of National Championships and would have cemented themselves back into football elite. Instead they have to settle for guys like Charlie Wei's and Tyrone Willingham. Just another example of ND being woefully behind the times.

"One of the biggest blunders in CFB history"? Exaggerate much? Another example of why you are regarded as a moron by the posters on this board.

So according to the replies, Sanford is a rising star but UM was not.
With the benefit of hindsight, clearly AFTER THE FACT you can say Meyer was a rising star. I don't recall anyone using that term to describe him back in the late 90s. He went to a moribund Bowling Green program, it's not like USC, Alabama or Nebraska hired our WR coach.

It was kind of a chuckle. For Kelly to compare any aspect of his program to Urban Meyer's is pretty funny.

Notre Same could have had Urban if they knew how to close the deal and make a big time hire.
Here's the biggest difference though Douche. You say BK comparing his program to Ohio State in any facet elicits a chuckle from Ohio State. Comparing Indiana Football to about 90% of the programs in Division I and even many in FCS elicits the same chuckle.
