The convicts have lost three games in a row because they stopped scoring points. The catholics have lost their last two games because teams have figured out that their offense doesn't change quarter to quarter.

Vegas says its a pick 'em, history says something crazy will happen. I'll say Lou is still better than the rest of Miami's coaches combined, so:

Miami -- 31
ND -- 34

Who do you have?

Hmmm ... hope you're right MT. But I have no clue ... a lot depends on which ND team shows up on Saturday.

Will the defense come ready to play?
Will the offense score?
Will Kelly go for it on 4th and 7 on the 15 yard line with the score 0 - 0, instead of taking the FG? And go for 2 points instead of 1 with the Irish leading 34-28 with 1 minute left?

“When you do the things that you practice every single day, it becomes second nature,” Kelly said. “I think from an offensive standpoint, we can just be who we are. Let's practice what we're good at, and let's be better at execution in this kind of game.”

The question begs to be asked -- WHO IS ND offensively??? They cannot run the ball with any sort of power, the O-Line simply is not that good (or they are doing a damn good job of not showing it!), Kelly's ego simply will get the best of him at times as he tries to get too cute in the red zone....the odds makes say this is a pick-em --

34 - 31 -- PIck it!

ND should win. I hope they win. My gut tells me they will find a way to lose yet another close game. But I'm going high on the score total.
Miami 38
ND 35

ND is at home.
2 poorly perfoming teams
advantage home team
ND 28 Mia 20

Every national network will interrupt regulary scheduled programing to announce the score! Or not.

it depends on what Notre Dame decides it is playing for. The benefits gained by winning are also gained by losing.....i.e. playing time for some, experience, etc. One could argue that Notre Dame is playing for a bowl bid, as would be the case for the rest of the games....albeit a minor bowl. The Catholics v. Convicts script is played out and no longer applicable. I won't be surprised if both teams play uninspired football. It could be the best game Notre Dame has put together all season....That would raise even more questions.

this another game we should win, With that said Irish 36 Miami 48; Kelly has not proven he could right the ship

ND 1 Miami 0 at half time (girls soccer).

If the girls win, maybe the boys will take not and do likewise Saturday.

Girls win ... beat Miami 2 - 0.

Come on boys ... learn something from this. ND can win!

LOL.. I can't pick against my Irish but lets just say I don't have a good feeling about this game.

After looking at the posts on the ND & Hurricane boards, they seem the same. The majority feel their respective team will lose. Well, someone will win, but I wouldn't put my hard-earned money on either team. Such a turn-about from the 1980's games. Oh well, probably the best we can both hope for is a decent performance and injury-free game. Go 'Canes

yea, these aren't the teams from the '80s for sure. Honestly, I think this will be similar to the ND v Stanford game. A horribly played game, brutal to watch with each team trying their hardest to give the game away. :(

4th and 10 at Miami's 15 yard line, down by 1 with 30 seconds to play and no time outs left, Kelly decides not to kick the field goal for the win but instead takes his time getting the play call in, play clocks down to 7 seconds before the call gets signaled in, players scramble to get set. Time runs out, game over. Kelly yells at Kizer "WHAT THE F@## ARE YOU DOING, DID YOU NOT SEE THE CLOCK YOU IDOIT". Maimi 21 ND 20.
I see another head scratching move by Kelly.....I have no confidence in our current coach.

can't see Mia outscoring ND this week. Two disappointing teams battle it out in the 'Irrelevant Bowl'
A loss today and I doubt there is even a post game press meeting.
A staff person will just go out, make a few snide remarks, throw some player under the bus, smirk and walk off. Why not.
