Making people remember where we were about a year ago.... and how the grass is not always greener.
I never advocated for fleck or anyone else for that matter. I just wanted our team to be playing respectable football again.
Having said that trying to compare abd connect those dots are silly. Nobody knows what fleck would do here nor BK do there.
Last year emotions were sour and a change needed to happen.
The Head coach changed alright...his ways of doing things and here we are.

I'm perfectly happy being embarrassed about this post. If you were to ask me last year if Notre Dame would be where they are today if I would still make that statement I certainly would not. Hindsight is always 2020. I think I used disliking Coach Kelly personally as a reason to want him fired. Unfortunately he might be a dick but he's a damn good coach. Fleck is a cheese ball. He did some good things but many coaches have. At the end of the day it's about winning and a good program and right now I would take Brian Kelly any day of the week over a cheese ball that intentionally makes a scene for the media.

I could post about how happy I am Kelly isn't running things but what's the point .... ND is winning thanks to Kelly getting out of the way .... so I got most of what I want ..... including a power short yardage package ... Hallelujah !!!

Regardless, making fun of someone because they wanted fleck and his struggles this year and trying to simulate we'd have one win with him at the helm is about the most god damn immature thing ever.
What superseded getting fleck was change. That was the key. Fleck or someone else they wanted the embarrassing football to stop. This includes me.

I don't understand how you don't understand why I went and brought these posts up? The majority of the crowd on here a year ago to the day wanted BK gone. They wanted to replace him with Fleck or Schianno (sp?). I (amongst a few others) kept saying there are no suitable replacements and that the grass is not always greener.... it may be better to stick it out and see how it goes than start all over........ Fast forward a year later and me 'resurrecting' these posts is my way of pointing out how wrong a lot of people were. BK made some changes and the team is doing well.... Fleck is taking Minnesota in the opposite direction (I know it is his first year, but they won 9 games last year). Hell, one of the biggest fans of Fleck (wont say names, coug bodi, cough) is now predicting that the Irish wont lose again and BW is the best ever, etc.
Funny how things can completely change in a year.

You wanted change via BK being fired? BK was not fired..... now he is proven to be a winner. . . you can say it is because he changed but the one word we are getting caught up on in that statement is "HE!" He, figured it out..... EVERYONE ( 80% ish anyway) wanted him fired... HE was not fired. HE figured it out. HE proved everyone wrong, and proved everyone who believed in him right.
I am not trying to prove any-one person wrong.... I am really just trying to get people to realize that sometimes the brakes need to be pumped and everyone needs to calm down. We had a very bad year (year after we almost made the playoffs) and everyone was crying and b*tching and screaming about Fleck and whoever else was an up and comer...... it would of been the wrong move.
