It's painfully obvious to everyone that Brian Vangorder should be given his walking papers right by the bus
Offense played well enough to win the game (should have had another touch down on 2nd last drive). Offensive line played pretty poor at times. That fumble was caused because of offensive line's inability to protect the right side of the QB.
Couldn't understand when other teams kick off coverage team is that good why not take a knee in the end zone? instead of bringing it out each time and losing 12-15 yards?
Brian Kelly is yet to win a big game in post season. I won't pour it on about his inability to win a big game. Just like Clemson is getting away from 'clemsoning' on the the field we would have to do the same thing by eventually winning a big post season game.
I was really glad when BK was hired and I still think he's a good coach but i expected him to be better than this by now. A really good coach has to win a game that they are not expected to win at least 30% of the time. I am not sure we can get anyone better than him so for better or worse he is going to be here for foreseeable future. He needs to go and get a great DC and throw 2 million on him if that's what is needed.
We were 2 TD's worse than Ohio State in 2009 and we are 2 touchdown's worse than them today. Have we made any progress in 6 years ? Has Ohio State improved just as much since 2009?
Make some changes in academic standard to let 3-4 borderline guys in each year or we will always be 1-2 years away from being there but never get there.
Some here are happy with 9 wins every year which is great from where we use to be but we have to take that next step. I think 6 years is long enough time to do that. I don't buy into injury and all the other excuses every year but for sake of argument let's give him that this year. Let's not make any excuses next year anything short of making to playoffs next year should be considered a failure. I am sure BK wants to leave a better legacy than a coach that can beat lesser talent but lays an egg against equal or better talent.
