Always enjoyed watching the up tempo Irish women's team.Past few years ,always ranked in top 5 ,but could never beat UConn in the NCAAs.
This year ,had high hopes again with their #2 or#3 ranking . But 6'3" center B. Turner has a major shoulder injury which may require season ending surgery and 6'4" Taya Reimer has a nagging Achilles injury which limited her playing time against UCLA . Our next 2 games are against pre season ranked # 6 Ohio State ( lost 2 games recently) and #1 UConn .

It will still be a fun team to watch ,how quickly they move up the court on offense .

Two years in a row playing UConn without Turner playing. Recipe for disaster on Saturday. Should be a great game tonight.

And playing without 6'5" Achonwa 2 years ago in the championship game. Our tallest women players always seem to be hurt before playing. UConn.

And Stewie is never hurt. She brings the hurt.

I can see us beating ohio st tonight at 7pm but there is no way we'll beat UConn in the next game without turner reamer. on a bright side true freshmen marina mabrey is having a great first year and looks to maybe be another future all-American for coach McGraw. can't wait until next season when coach McGraw gets scoring freak Jackie young on campus. all Jackie did in her junior year was score a 1,000 pts in one season and become the first play in Indiana to do it since former IU star and now UCLA coach steve alford did it

our irish lead 10th ranked ohio st 45-40 at halftime on espn3. one of the anouncers said that turner and reamer are day to day

our irish win 75-72 over 10th ranked ohio st. a very gutsy win for our irish while playing without there two starting bigs. turner was shown on the bench wearing an arm sling. anouncers said that both turner and reimer are day to day but who knows how accurate there info on them are

Do they use the same conditioning staff as the football team?

UConn usually has a lot of injuries to there girls BGI but geno recruits so well that just about every girls on his bench could start at most D1 schools and so it doesn't hurt his teams too much

Be watching Saturday's game against UConn . UConn easily routed Ohio State 100-56 while ND beat Ohio State 75-72 .In the ND win over Ohio State ,we had a ton of turnovers . Without our 2 tallest starters ,6'3" star center B. Turner ,a force in the paint and 6'4" forward / center T. Reimer a big threat with the foul line jumper and rebounding , we have very little or no chance of beating UConn. .However , UConn plays excellent defense and if we keep the turnovers to a minimum , we can play a decent game . I hope this becomes a real learning experience especially for our freshmen guards . Muffet has faced UConn enough ,so she knows what to expect .

I sure hope that our irish can pull the upset today Izo but stewart is the best post player in the country and she should have a fairly easy time putting up points against a four guard lineup. coach McGraw said in her presser a couple of nights ago that reimer is cleared to play but it is basically up to her as to how much she can play because of the pain she has to deal with while being on the court. I've never had her injury before but i'd amagine it has to hurt just to walk let alone be on a court trying to run

Irish under McGraw do not get intimidated . Their offensive style of play is always in attack mode .They gave it a good effort and you knew today' s game was going to be real tough to get a win . But they came to play .
