I agree with this assessment. I'll try to predict after this next game is over.

ND all the way. Please, Jerian, show up for the whole game!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ND does not have the horse down low to keep up with UK size. Hope to hell I am wrong but I have to pick UK. As much as that pains me.

Auguste & Colson would have to be outstanding.......best hope is wvu got KY overhyped tonite & they come out FLAT vs ND.

Go Irish!!!

I think ND will hang in there with UK. I will not be the beat down WV is taking.

I believe ND will find a way to beat Kentucky. They will make a lot of 3s and kentucky won't. Grant, Connie, Fr.Ted, and Brey's Mom will make this a team of Destiny. I think ND will have a big advantage in testicular fortitude, chemistry, and mental toughness.

ND has to shoot the lights out in the gym to win. No way we can contend with their bigs for rebounds if we start missing.

I predict if ND does not win there will be more negative posts about Brey then we have seen in the last 10 days or so.

"I predict if ND does not win there will be more negative posts about Brey then we have seen in the last 10 days or so."

The only negative posts will come from one jerk...so just ignore them. But there is no doubt that if ND loses to a team with 7 NBA first rounders on it, it will be the coaches fault. It fits this aholes narrative.....

KY by 13.

I wish ND had the stuff, but Kentucky looked very good last night. ND won't back down when punched in the mouth like WVU did, but I suspect it'll be like the Syracuse game this year. ND will try to stay in the game by shooting only 3's. Unless they shoot about 75% from behind the arc, it won't be enough.

Hello ND looking forward to a good game, I think this will be a close game and hope The Cats pullit out. I like your team, fun to watch and the kids and coach seems like class acts. If this is a close game towards the end your great shooters and FT percentage will make it difficult, if it comes down to an inside game KY will do well. It will be interesting.

What a ride ND has been on! Of course I'd love to see them win, but at this point.. making it to the elite 8, I'm just going to sit back and enjoy the game, win or lose. I don't think some people realize just how difficult it is to make it this far in the tournament.

I honestly don't see ND winning this game unless they can figure out how to keep Kentucky on the perimeter and make them beat you shooting the ball from the outside. I have to believe their game plan will be to beat us up on the inside.

I think defensively we're going to have to gamble on UK missing outside shots. Double down the post (which is not what we typically do) and hope they miss open looks on the outside. If they do miss, we need to somehow get a rebound. It ain't going to be pretty on that side of the ball. We have forced more turnovers recently than earlier in the year with increased ball pressure, and every turnover we can generate will be huge, because they usually result in a layup or open 3 at the other end.

I think Cal will study Coach K's strategy against us and have very limited help defense off of shooters. If I were him, I would be content giving up shots around the basket vs open looks from 3, because I think the only chance we have is by generating open 3s and hitting them. Granted this did not work well at all the 3rd time we played Duke, when we hit only two 3's and were up 16 at one point, but UK is much tougher in their interior defense than Duke.

We have experienced fighters that can take a punch and give it back, so I do not expect an easy victory for UK despite all of their advantages. I think we do enough to hang around for 30 minutes, and we'll have some scoring bursts like we do against everybody, but eventually Auguste will get in foul trouble and our biggest player on the court will be Bonzie. Love this team and it has been a joy to watch them, but I can't logically predict a victory. If we were playing literally ANYBODY else in the field, I'm taking the Irish right now.

UK 73
ND 64

Yooper...I can't realistically disagree with anything you have said. I think you will see run Vasturia at the point a lot tomorrow to try and invert his offense because I believe UK will take Jackson away first. Fortunately his play off the ball has improved tremendously, but if the ref's call 50 fouls like they did in the WVU game last nite....ND is done....UK doesn't care about foul numbers, not when you can bring in two 7 footers off the bench..Sorry, just can't see ND winning this thing...I say UK by double digits...pull away late when ND loses 2-3 players with fouls....

UK just had ten turnovers against the number one team in the nation at producing them. Shooting threes isn't always the answer either, UK let Auburn shoot them all night, and they made 11 of them...but still lost by 35. Pick your poison.

ND has a chance. 7 teams this year, with 2 minutes to go, were either ahead (LSU) tied (Miss OT & A&M 2OT) or within 4-5 points (Georgia twice,Vandy & Fla) of beating UK and just didn't finish the deal. UK is unbeaten, but not unbeatable. ND needs to stay within striking distance late and then let Grant and Connaughton do thier thing. Maybe ND could steal a win.

Did you really just use Auburn's bball team to make a point that would relate to us? I mean...really?

The refs...unfortunately....will have a big say....if we read the box score Sunday and Auguste has 22 minutes logged, and Connaughton has 30 minutes we are in trouble....we gotta play without fouling and we have to make shots. It almost has to be a Nova/Gtown type of game...problem is Nova was able to play without the clock. A MAJOR concern of mine is that UK can have an offense that starts AFTER they shoot. They have the abilty to play volleyball and score. Maybe if I had seen UK play more I would have a different opinion. Only saw them last nite for extended time, and they had my jaw dropping.

But they have struggled at times against teams.....probably from a lack of interest. They will be interested tomorrow nite

hehe fixed

Kentucky will win easily. Too big, too talented, too deep. They will win by 15 to 25. Sometimes that's the way the cookie crumbles.

Calipari should be called Noah....he's got 2 of everything! 8 guys over 6-8...2 stud gds....two 6-11 subs...jeez! i listened to the Cinn game on cbs sports radio last saturday on my way home from Charlottesville....you know your tough when you soungood on radio...

This isn't sounding cocky, but I just don't know if there is a formula to beating this UK team. I've been a UK fan all my life, seen good and bad teams, but never anything like this. It's simply loaded, experienced, tall, and talented.

Saying that, ND to me has a legit final four caliber team. It'll be closer than most think.

Pinch yourself. I think you're dreaming.

I'm going with my heart and not my head this time. ND 81 and Kentucky 79 (ot). This has all the makings of the BCS title game vs Bama. That's my head talking there.
