The Players Era Festival had to make some changes to its it tournament structure as a result of new guidance from the NCAA.

What was previously a round-robin format in Las Vegas that had Notre Dame playing three games against the Impact Division teams without a tournament bracket will now have teams in both the Impact Division and Power Division playing two games each before Championship Day on Nov. 30 with matchups determined by the outcome of the previous games.

The change will not impact Notre Dame's previously scheduled first two games. The Irish will play Rutgers on Nov. 26 at 10:30 p.m. EST on TBS and Houston on Nov. 28 at 12:30 a.m. EST on TBS. Then it will play on Nov. 30 against an opponent to be determined. Notre Dame won't play against Alabama as previously scheduled.

Here's how the Championship Day matchups will be determined:

"Each group will be ranked first through fourth, and after head-to-head record, seeding will be determined by total point differential in group games (capped at 20 points per game), then total points scored and fewest points allowed. The top seeds from each division will face off in the championship game, with the rest of the standings filling out the third, fifth and seventh-place matchups."

The four teams in the Power Division that Notre Dame could play are Oregon, Texas A&M, San Diego State or Creighton.

Here's the Championship Day schedule:

7th Place Game – 1 PM EST | truTV, Max
5th Place Game – 3:30 PM EST | truTV, Max
3rd Place Game – 7 PM EST | TNT, Max
Championship Game – 9:30 PM EST | TNT, Max
